most of current wrestlers are: - physially unimpressive - unconvincing while talking - uncharismatic - socially awkward - waaaay too flaymboyant/metrosexual - relying too much on video games and social media - mentally weak - too sensitive .... I think I could go on and on with it

@@KeepinIt100OFFICIAL well, simply that's the world we're living. All those things that I have written about wrestlers can be said about current wave of people. Hell, most of them apply to me. Honestly. So I can see why current people don't relate in any way to guys like Killer Kross and they do relate with guys like Kenny Omega. I myself don't wanna see wrestlers with qualities I have written above on my television, bcuz that I can see in my mirror (which is the reason why I stopped watching wrestling, with exception of few segments per week). That's the flow of the people. Wrestling is a reflection of society, always have been, and today's society .... there could be said a lot about it.

It really is such a mix of things. I am 27 and I'm thankful my parents raised me differently than others in my generation. My parents were self-made super poor to well-off upper-middle-class and instilled that in all of us. People I grew up with thought we were abused because we were taught to debate things and weren't given pills to fix our issues and were oftentimes forced to "suck it up" and move on with it. At the time I sure thought I had it bad, but on the other side of things, I am so thankful for it because there are too many people I grew up with who are entitled and offended by every little thing and it is simply astonishing to see. There's a reason so many in my age range aren't leaving momma's nest and the more we coddle and get offended by things the worse it will get.

I have worked in education in many different capacities since 2002, I started to see each campus in the district I worked for have someone work as security and a local police officer assigned as the SRO (school resource officer). Also a few years after I graduated, schools applied common core to their curriculum and Bush used his “No child left behind act” which IMO further complicated matters relating to public education.

Konnan and Disco are spot on here. Sad the current state of the younger gen. Honestly, peel that onion back and I see it starting with the massive lack of fathers for Gen X’ers. Single parents having to medicate their kids to control them, kids lacking direction, being fed BS fairy tales with emotional anti bullying propaganda rather than standing up for yourself etc etc. Then we wonder why suicide rates are up, depression is rampant, kids break down when somethings doesn’t go their way, and then lash out with school shootings and other criminal activity while blaming society in general. Smh

In a key victory Thursday, around 1200 current and former UFC fighters were class action certified by a Nevada district court judge, a big step in an antitrust case against Zuffa/UFC that has been going for six years. By doing so, the case now becomes consolidated, meaning that each of those fighters do not have to file individual lawsuits against Zuffa/UFC. Instead of the possibility of 1200 separate cases, there is now just one. Zuffa/UFC is expected to appeal. -- You're Welcome.

As far as people back then being insensitive vs people now being too sensitive, its a perfect mix of both. I think there is plenty of value in looking at people for what they bring to the table as opposed to what they are lacking in, and conversely there is value in putting your foot down and not taking any shit. Its as simple as not being a dick until some asshole is a dick to you

Most people don't take anti depressants not bc they're trying to solve all their problems with a pill, a lot of us take it bc were just trying to feel normal or ok bc they can't get through a day without it. I think it's pretty obvious that most people don't expect it to fix every problem. Also it sometimes takes multiple different medications before you find the right one for you. It's a lot more of a process then you guys think.

There's no doubt that in every era you have sensitive people. Top to bottom. I'd say the generation before the boomers had it the worst. That being said I think a reason why people feel like there's more sensitive people is because information is at your finger tips. How to express your viewpoints is a lot easier too. Honestly, I've heard of these "trigger" warnings but I've never seen any. Think about this generation now though, some may even call them "woke." They have helped with 3 of the biggest movements of all time. A national Healthcare bill, marriage for our LGBTQ family members, and we now have 18 states plus DC and Guam for legalization for recreational use. Most generations talked about it. So yes they need to be more thick skinned but also give props and not make over generalized statements.

This is a great conversation, and I agree with the whole thing about drugs. When it comes to PC, it's something I grapple with because everyone is offended by something; and when I see people who rally against PC, and they say it's the biggest threat to our way of life, well when the shoe is on the other foot they're the biggest snowflakes. I will leave it at that.

Wrestlers went from larger than life personas to people you'd see in real life. I'm a 6'1, 220 pound guy. If I dedicated my time solely on the gym and had a diet I'd be ripped and could make it into wrestling... But that's a slap on the face of every wrestler before me. I'm a cheeseburger away from being bigger than 90% of indie wrestlers out there. Take for example Undertaker, he lived the gimmick. Even if you saw him out in public he wore black and had the whole bandana thing going on. Plus he's a full on conservative and doesn't care. I'd love for someone to confront him about his political views. I so hope it happens one day.
