I remember watching the Digital Hollywood talk back when it first aired in 2014 and being so confused when he stood up from the piano in the middle of "ZERO", and then being blown away when he brought the audience in to replace the castanets. Watching the symphony livestream this past October, I started laughing and just thought to myself, "He did it again!" You can tell why he performs: it's for the fans.

The use of the crowd for Liberation of Gracemeria unlocks a whole new layer for the song. Remember what Altman said in his interview: During the Liberation of Directus, the Ustian civilians came out and helped the incoming Allied forces push out the Belkan occupation force. When they saw Cipher's plane from down there, they all looked up at him like some kind of savior, an inspiration. With the crowd here in Liberation of Gracemeria, it's not difficult to imagine Emmerians doing the same for Talisman--seeing his plane and taking it as a sign to get out there and club the Estovakians closest to hand. Aces and singularities are symbols of hope, not just for his own military, but for his people back home--whether for money, the angels, or the Golden King.

Keiki Kobayashi is Japan's Hans Zimmer. He's truly skilled at what he does, and he does it because he truly has a talent. And that talent is backed up by passion. You can see it in the way he conducts, honestly.

Except Hans Zimmer is more of a music label and less of a composer...

Honestly, I loved the symphony. But I felt that the old 2014 one had a chemistry that the symphony didn't. It had that "small but talented band" quality to it whereas the symphony feels a lot more professional. The smaller band had a charm to it and felt more tightly knit and it felt more creative with its assets, using what PA had or could afford unlike the symphony where they could just throw cash to get the real deal and instruments used for the songs. Not to mention, the conductor, if you can even call him that, can be more direct with his crew which is nice.
