Prime Minister Keir Starmer speaks outside 10 Downing Street having just accepted an invitation from King Charles III to form a new government after his Labour Party easily defeated the Conservatives to win the UK general election. He paid tribute to former PM Rishi Sunak during his speech and vowed to fix the nation. "We will rebuild Britain with wealth created in every community," he said.

Wow. The people commenting seem to forget the Tory's time was up; they had run out of ideas and capable leaders. It was inevitable that something had to change and reset the system. Labor will have their chance and we will just have to see what they are able to do.

This is a hilarious comment considering UK has survived Boris, Liz and Sunak as prime ministers. Clear you don't have a foggy clue about uk politics or what Starmer represents. He's closer to Cameron than any of the ding bats the tories have served up since and miles from Trudeau.

To me this seems like a break up in the predictive abilities of media and political analysis. For sure there were people who thought labour would win but I think it was overshadowed by overall trends in the EU block. In a weird way it’s like a rebirth of local politics. It speaks to the overall condition of Britain and the UK. The incumbents carry such a large burden when the consensus is that things have been going poorly. I honestly don’t expect a labour government to be what people hope it will, but at the same time I can’t blame them for simply choosing the alternative. I fully expect Britain to continue declining, but now perhaps more aggressively.

Diego Garcia is a military base. It is not for illegal asylum seekers headed to Canada, the U.K or any where else. America Samoa, Fiji, Guam, Palau, Panama, Samoa, Seychelles, Trinidad, Turks and Caicos Islands, US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Vanuatu, Marshall Islands, all places the European Union has blacklisted as places for illegal tax havens. These places should not have frequent illegal immigrants or legal tourists or residents doing human trafficking, drug traffickers, or illegal weapons sells. If it is a military base there are restrictions against illegal aliens being able to travel freely constantly to stay for long periods to be picked up. No money for any indo pacific Island should be going to pay for asylum claims. It must be clear that all countries in charge do not accept refugees, because it constantly increases people using these places as legal immigration centers. No one should be buying plane tickets, meal plans, or hotels rooms for asylum seekers. Asylum seekers should be processed in the U.K. If Keir Starmer is going to stay in power he has to decrease illegal immigrants not increase them.

Having had the first (British Indian) Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (albeit unelected), being subject, to historic, racial slurs, (that date back, (to at least the commencement of the fifties), and that are meant, and intended, to remind the Prime-Minister of his place, could never be seen as a respectable, and a reputable look, by the Reform UK Party. Seventy years of historic, long-standing, racial slurs, for minority groups, resident in the UK. My father was subject to these racial slurs as a fourteen year old child, working night-shift patterns, (on minimum wage), in the mills, and bakeries, of Bradford, West-Yorkshire, and suffered far worse racial abuse, before he eventually retired, having worked full-time, (for a minimum of sixty years) in the same profession. Thankfully, it is the kind Grace of God, which allows us all to remember, that we each have value, and have meaning.💮💮💮💮💮💮
