Yet it was a big enough event that they had to bend all the rules of the parliamentary system to install him temporarily as prime minister just to echo those soundbites at every opportunity. Winchester public school doesn't care about colour as long as your fees are paid on time and the British public accept anyone who sounds and behaves like them which is hardly a strength . About as representative of your average Asian as Keir Starmer is of the working man.

As a PM he was just entirely unmemorable, in all likelihood he'll be almost entirely forgotten in 30-40 years. However compared to the two Prime Ministers before him maybe being unmemorable is for the best. I've enjoyed him as LOTO though, especially after seeing the nonsense from Badenoch in PMQ's yesterday, and it's been nice to see a more humourous relatable side of him after he was such a dull PM. If he had been anywhere near as fun as PM then he might have actually stood a chance in the election I find it odd that you mention him winning the leadership race that Boris won though? Pretty much nobody knew who Sunak was in 2019, he only became Chancellor in a very surprise appointment at the start of 2020 and had a very sudden rise to the top

Rishi Sunak is a profoundly good man and a very competent politician( rare these days ). However, he was PM at the wrong time for Conservatives. You have a lot of hard issues to solve in the UK. You have child poverty, homelessness, and rising crime rates. The Tory party were never able to solve those issues, in fact they made the poor people more poor. I don`t think Keir Starmer is going to solve the problem either. You need a real progressive left leaning party in the UK, and not two conservative parties. New Labour is the same as Tory light.
