Bonus unpopular opinion: We need to stop demonizing shrinkage. Shrinkage is a sign your hair is healthy. My hair is to my shoulders when stretched and eye level dry. And I’m cool with it. Like I even use shrinkage as a FLEX to ppl who don’t know our hair. My white fiancé is floored everytime I remind him how long my hair is. And he gets so giddy when the curl bounces back. Shrinkage is fcking awesome when you realize why we have it. I remember how damaged and sad my hair was before I cut it. When I think about that damage, I smile at my shrunken healthy curls. Cuz they are healthy and happy for the first time in my 25 years of living. And I’m healthy and happy for the first time in 25 years. We are too mean to our hair ❤️

Definitely agree that celebrities/influencers/famous people, basically anyone with a large platform don’t have to speak out about everything. I also reallyyy don’t like when so many people try to pressure them to make a hard stance and publicly choose “what side” they’re on. The harassment so many famous people get whenever anything political happens rubs me the wrong way. “You have a large following so it’s your duty to make a stance. Why aren’t you speaking up?” They get bombarded, pressured, and even bullied into speaking out and choosing a side. And no matter what side they choose people will criticize them for being on the “wrong side”. Damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
@Reve-to-the-V7 ай бұрын
Agreed. I feel like the only time that people are fine with celebrities having a stance on something political is when celebrities share the same opinion as them. Furthermore, I believe that the way in which some celebrities poorly speak out about a matter only reinforces their ignorance to the struggles of normal people and how detached they are from the normal society due to their privilege.

My unpopular opinions since my period started: 1. Parents should get mandatory workshops about child psychology and child development. Too many parents are unaware of the long term to permanent damage they are afflicting. 2. There are some items of clothing that little girls shouldn’t be wearing. I’m sorry but I’m tired of 12 year old Instagram baddies looking 21. Bring back Justice because stores have literally forgotten what children’s clothing even means. 3. If you are getting a relaxer in 2024, I will have 0 sympathy when you cry about fibroids. Period. You know the risk. You know the girls on the box have silk presses. You’re just killing yourself babe. 4. Brides need to go back to paying for their bridesmaid’s expenses. I’m an engaged woman AND a bridesmaid and I’m now tapping into my OWN wedding funds to afford all the expenses I’m experiencing as a bridesmaid. Also engagement party and bridal showers are the same thing in my mind and if I go to one more glorified meal I will scream. I’m gonna elope and have a party and that’s it! 5. I agree with the hair color one. Some people don't look good with black hair and some don't look good with blonde hair. I know I personally won't want to wear a color that doesn't suit me but I don't have specific attachments/visions to hair color. Top 5 unpopular opinions: 1. Just because you don't read doesn't mean you're uneducated. It just means it's not my hobby. I prefer other things, may or may not be educating. 2. Chewing gum loudly shouldn't be met with as much heat as it does "chewing like a cow" or being "ratchet" as if either of us have been around one and so rude for what. It's not that serious. Chill and politely ask to chew more quietly. 3. Apple juice is the superior juice for breakfast, not orange juice. 4. The same people who say people are insecure if their significant other feels jealous of them hanging around opposite genders are the same ones that will have a turbulent relationship history 5. Some youtubers are too sensitive/ deluded and think some people are "hating" on them when they're told that people miss the old them- before they were changed by money- but they're just too gone to notice it and get mad when they read the comment. Calling them haters or mentally saying that makes them feel better about it. Spending $1k daily is called a spending addiction and you trying to normalize it in your head by saying it makes you happy doesn't change it. So they rather stay deluded.

YUP I love Drew, I don't care what anyone says. Society has made human contact and genuine compassion uncomfortable and "cringe" at this point. She is a breath of fresh air, a Disney princess in the flesh, she's a genuinely good person. Leave her alone lol. And this is coming from soneone who does not enjoy being physically touched lol

And I feel like people rebel against their parents etc bc they don’t give you a reason why you shouldn’t do that/ go there etc 😭 like I usually listen to my mom when she says I shouldn’t do something but sometimes I question it too. Then she explains to me why she doesn’t allow/ recommend me to do certain things and I’ll understand more. I do the same to my younger siblings and it works fine. Obviously it doesn’t work everytime but then we’ll learn our lesson etc…. yeah, that’s my two cents on this topic ( I also think it has to do with the tone parents say it)

Yes, I love these. Agree about I've never been someone who when they're told no don't do something then they HAVE to do it. I've been in a relationship when I was younger with someone who had that mindset of if they're told not to do something (like for example don't cheat on me!?) then he felt like it was more exciting to try to do that. Which ties in with yes let's kink shame when people are f ing weird. I agree with pretty much all opinions on this one. Especially the no friends thing and alcohol. I also like Drew Barrymore and agree about florals making people look older. Also the para social thing! Ariana grande fans cringe me out with how they talk about her. Like she doesn't know you

For a lot of short bros, we really want to just be treated better and not be an easy target from society really. I wouldn’t say it’s out of jealousy that the parter is taller, there’s just ridicule for something that can’t be changed.

Drew’s interviews are unique and she does seem genuine and comforting but she does need to learn boundaries I feel like cause not everyone will enjoy getting that close to them.

Okay but for the part about parents telling you to not do something or go somewhere, even though they have their kids best interests at heart, I'm not gonna be understanding unless I get an explanation on why lmao Like don't be just telling me to not go there just because??,, explain to me why 😭 istg sometimes I gotta pry infos off my mom to know why exactly she won't let me do something or go somewhere

I teach autistic kids and one important part is explaining the “why” of things we do. Even when it comes to expectations and rules, we talk about why we have them and omg the way kids are so responsive when they are just told why! My mother was abusive and was one of those “cuz I said so” and would beat me for asking why. Grew up and found out I was autistic, not rebellious 🙃
