love this song sm, i’m not the biggest nightcord fan but this made me appreciate them a lot more.

while i’m not 100% sure on the meaning of this song, i believe that it is a reference to a fight in a relationship because both factors in the relationship do not know when to “take things further” this can be seen when miku says “tick tock, tick tock” and 1:06 when both mizuki and ena ask “what do i do with this sweetness lingering in my mouth” in other words, ‘what do i do with this person im waiting for’ of course i think both people are in the right and in the wrong i can see how people would choose to take someones side, like with both ena and mizuki (or person 1, person 2) at the beginning when mizuki says “the feelings u could never let go of- are soiled by one spoonful of sweetness” which imo refers to a scenario of where when mizuki does try to push the relationship forward, ena may not be ready/prepared, and so they have to stay as they are. this can also be seen when ena says “unlike in the stories of yearning- anything i do always ends in further anxiety” which may be ena is scared of how mizuki will react to enas attempts of pushing the relationship, or how i mainly see it- what the relationship will become if they “push forward.” however- while these are great points, i think that mafumafu’s purpose of this song was not for debate, but rather to show that even in small or large arguments- love can always make the last impact. because as i see it in this song- ena and mizuki are fighting, miku is more of a spectator who cant do anything. but once ena and mizuki finish in frustration, both are sad and realize they missed and just wanted eachother. in my opinion- and based on reading most mzen stories, this song fits them a lot,, even just their roles and specific parts of the lyrics, im glad proseka chose this for them. and also im glad mafumafu made this masterpiece its rlly good- and to hinata and minori (their va’s!!)
