so out of all the conlusions i have reached that austerity gold standerd is great for capital holders and creditor class and dollar is too loose so the money loses its meaning to finnace meaningfull productive things somewhere in between is the best system where it balances also the public and private sector if they are not disciplined enough

Maybe but D.R Webb and others have shed light on the reality of ‘ownership’ in the world. If given can be taken. Easy? Not sure but it’s a wake up call no matter.

We have paper gold, which obviously influence the price. We don't know how many gold there is. We don't know if it's real gold what countries have and how much they have. There is no trust among countries. Isn't it clear that gold is not the way to go because 'humans' always fuck it up. A private gold standard or a clearing house is therefor the worse idea I heard. His arguments against Bitcoin makes it clear he doesn't understand why it can drop in value so much. It's because of the halving but also because of hype. When there is a bull market people jump into Bitcoin without really understanding what they are buying. New companies jump into this industrie because they want to make money and (because they are humans) mess it up again and again. Eventually people take profits and then prices go down and industries broke, people who bought at the top because they thought they end up rich overnight, they sell with a loss. And the cycle starts again. Every new technology is volatile. He dismisses Bitcoin because a 78 years old woman buys at the top is just a stupid conclusion. He has to do more study to say anything about Bitcoin. Paul, you know better and you have to counterpunch more because this part of the interview is stupid and now I don't know if I can take the rest of the interview serious. The only thing you can trust is open source, decentralised Bitcoin. Gold is a hedge I know, but when you understand Bitcoin, gold is just so stupid. It has a history because there was nothing better, but now there is.

Crypto is another ponzi scheme, it is backed by nothing and has 0 substance, at last fiat can be used as toilet paper which is superior to bitcoin.
