The video I needed to see. I currently have about 4 that keep coming loose. I will try braiding them before my retie Monday. Thank you so much for sharing.

I'm 10 and 1/2 months in and I literally have to re-tie my edges EVERY TIME I wash my hair.🤦🏽♀️ And I wash my hair every week. Sometimes I try to stretch it to 2 weeks, but I get flakes and I also workout, so I need to wash my hair frequently. My edges are unruly and disrespectful of the locking process.🤦🏽♀️ My edges are very soft and fragile, so as soon as water touches my hair my edges want to unravel. I use to get frustrated, but now I've learned to be patient with my hair and just retie the ones that act a fool 🤦🏽♀️😅. They're slowly but surely learning to behave themselves, lol. The locks at the back of my head and those in the middle are locking very nicely though.

I think I will have to wash every week as well! I just started interlocking so I’m looking forward to being able to wash a lot!❤️

I feel you! I had to retie mine often when I first started as well. They will lock up in no time! I would suggest maybe braiding or banding your locs closer to the front, that may help out when you’re washing.

Im getting ready to retie mine for the first time since my stylist is booked booked honey. And this gave me a lot of confidence to do my edges. I baby hairs are out of control!!! Love your videos. Best spot to be for having micro locs for sure.

I do this as well but not regularly. Especially if I have an event to attend. I love the volume and thickness I have when it’s almost time for a reti so doing the first 2 rows does wonders for a fresh look

Great video Queen! Thx for sharing! I'm 1 year in and I had a lock unravel in the front of my hair line also. I didn't think it was possible at q year in!! I'm not doing the maintenance on my hair, but I am going to begin the same process in-between my reties.

I had one near that same area the just unraveled for no reason at all. I did the same thing, but added a little kinky human hair to it! Came out great!

I retie my edges half way between full reties too. When researching you tubers I followed advised making perimeter locs slightly larger as they thin out as they mature. But I’m seeing more & more people having the smallest locs of very little hair in this area then saying they difficult to loc 🤷🏾♀️ would you ever combine your perimeter locs or keep as is? Thanks for footage

I absolutely love your hair and your spirit! I definitely watched one of your videos before I decided to just start my locs on impulse LOL. Can I ask how many rows you have in the front? I ended up redoing my front because I thought it was too big compared to the back but now I kind of feel like they are too small. Now I'm debating on if I want to combine the front or maybe take down some of the locs in the back that are too big.

They look thicker and more comfortable before. Is it necessary for them to be that pulled and together to be healthy?

I have a question, what do you do if you tie it too tightly, can you go back? Love this mid retie session 😍
@KekeJ3 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question! If I go thru and it’s too tight, I try to push the loc back thru far enough to where I can grab the loc and pull it back out. I try to test it first before I go thru another rotation and if I feel like it’s too tight, then I just leave it alone
