First off I dont do reviews. That being said this trigger is awesome sauce. I was shooting my p17 last weekend and casually thought that the only thing wrong with it was the trigger. Four days later I find a video about the mcarbo trigger completely by accident and figure what the hell. Ordered and there days later I had it in my possession. Installed it last night and dry fired today when the snap caps arrived. This trigger is a game changer for the p17. Awesome job and thanks for a great product!!

Or the fucking insanity level effort of replacing it. As a gunsmith it really isn't insanity but the trigger isnt a drop in, and isnt that much of an upgrade deeming it unnecessary if the trigger costs 1/4 of the gun. Even moreso that dude thinks paying for a 500$ supressor and an annual ticket is worth it for a glorified plinker

So easy a caveman can do it! Seriously! I did the upgrade over the course of a conference call at work. Call ended and sent a mag off the back porch right after. VERY CONCISE instructions. Don't be intimidated by the little springs doing their springy things. Just be patient and you'll do great. And yes, Huuuuuuuuge difference after install. Feels like a real pew pew now. Best $30 you'll spend on the P17 hands down. Thanks again for the very informative video!

That 3D PRINTED PART is absent from P17s produced starting in 2021. That was a temporary fix. Newer P17s have a flat horizontal built in polymer projection designed to capture the spring as you did upon the 3D printed wedge. The trigger still needs to be pulled back😊 allowing the spring to sit atop the projection.

Just picked-up a P17 yesterday. Once I shake it down I will most definitely add your trigger (in black) to it. I'd add that mystery part in aluminum if it were available for a reasonable price when I do the trigger install. I would not do it as a stand alone upgrade. I will say that this video is nothing less than excellent!!! Very nice! (I'm retired from film and television engineering so I've seen the whole range)

If you guys thinking about getting this trigger. Its amazing. I LOVE the P17 Plus it's great if you doing a deep cleaning and/or do some polish work on your P17. They also have some good polishing kits also.. GREAT GUN AND GREAT COMPANY!!! I will BUY more from them.

I was very blessed to be able to find P17 pistols for my wife/daughters months ago. Trying to find one of these rascals for my use and this is IMPOSSIBLE. I hope Kel-Tec is able to catch up on demand some time in the future. Great Vid.

Feels much better than the stock plastic! The tutorial was easy to follow and thorough. I would love to see 3D printed replacements for the plastic slide cover featuring optic mounts. If 3D printed parts are good enough for internal components, they're good enough for optic mounts :)

I bought my P17 in February of 2020. Perfect timing. I paid 220 but it was only one id ever seen here in Lubbock Texas. They sell same day here

The p 17 needs a better slide release. The stock one wears out easily. Also an optic capable slide would be nice.

Keltec is now selling slides with crimson trace red dots. 199.99 I've only seen them in black though. I'm waiting for the fde cover plate. Idk if the original will be compatible with the dot. Also has raised sight for dot.

That's because it isn't a slide release, it is a slide lock. Sling shot method to charge.

I would really like to have that piece that doesn't show on the breakdown done in stainless, so the trigger return spring doesn't wear out the plastic factory piece. Just picked up my P17 today. I had to pay the COVID-19 tax, but have this Kel-Tec pistol in my possession! Maybe after election day things will be more normal or maybe worse. 🙄 Good video, Chris! 👍🏻 I would not have attempted installing this flat trigger without you providing detailed instructions. Mine did not have the 3D printed part.....called Kel-Tec before reassemby and was told this was a trigger stop and was no longer needed on later versions. Still makes ya wonder!

I was watching reviews on the G 44 then I came across 22 plinkstir reviewing the KELTEC P17. He gave it like 4 1/2 stars but I was thinking Itit would be great to have a optics plate, adapter and a flat trigger. Then I put in upgrades for KEL-TEC P17 and came by Chris Nelson Great video on the flat trigger. Wondering if MCABRO have an adapter plate and a few other upgrades Kel Tec P17.(I know that a stainless steel shelf plate would the for the spring would be more far superior than a plastic 3-D print it polymer

Thanks for the video. I always enjoy a thorough walkthrough of the internals of a pistol and all the little quirks of reassembling these Kel Tecs without their factory assembly jigs. The 3D printed part is interesting for sure. I wonder if they’ll have modified the frame itself after they work through the first production runs. Slightly unrelated, but do you folks make a tool for the RDB Survival barrel nut? It’s proving tricky to remove the front sight.

I’ve thought about sending my p17 back to get the trigger checked. I seem to have the opposite problem, my trigger is a hair trigger. I mean extremely sensitive. It’s truly hard not to double tap it. Never seen a trigger that light.

They are about $400 now, when they came out, they were about $159.00. They are great 22 pistols. I have 2 of them. 1 dark green and 1 tan. I am looking for a black one to add to the collection but the black ones are impossible to find right now..
