Rifleman Review: KelTec P17

My P17 misfired every few shots. Living within driving distance of KelTec's factory, I called and drove up to see them. They couldn't have been nicer and more receptive to me. They replaced a spring, made a few adjustments, and returned it to me, all free of charge and within five days. Since then, I've fired several hundred rounds without a single misfire. Now I'm having a blast at the range with this little plinker, making more bullseyes than ever.

I’m close to keltec also. Miles away. Was gonna grab a KSG with a p17 combo and this makes me feel more comfortable about the purchase.

im in orlando so not too far away lol ... when i 1st got it, had some issues with getting that 16th round in the mag which then causes chambering issues on that 16th round .. then got stove pipes every 2-3 rounds. That was with cci ar tacticals. switched to cci mini mags and it fires perfect.

1:10 Actually someone on eBay made an adaptor to fit there where those screws are to mount a red dot. You remove those screws, place the adaptor plate on, secure the plate to the slide with the new screws and mount the red dot to the new adaptor.

Dude. IMCO, in my c o n s i d e r e d opinion, you rocked with this video, in the aspect of respect for people's time. You got your intro in (the music) BUT - before I could swipe NEXT, you were into pertinent aspects of the P17 that the designers of it likely had in mind during development. Thanks. You captured my attention within 9 seconds and kept it until your video was finished. I stayed until *you* ended it. Capture and control from beginning to end. Given the overabundance of P-17 videos, thus far, yours is Ready Set, GO! and if that's too compressed and fast, fine, too bad. I like it 👍🇺🇲. Not all American gun enthusiasts are as speedy as molasses in the winter. Given the topic: P-17. Exemplifying: Concealable, least recoil, highest compact fire capacity, high staccato rate of fire. 73👍

I have 3 of them. My first one didn't have any twist in the barrel. (Smooth Bore)Sent it back. In 7 days Kel Tec returned it repaired, new barrel. Been flawless ever since. ALSO, these are the only semi autos I have that with cycle cci 710fps ammo. SI CO. Switchback can makes this thing incredible.

"Almost Carry Size"??? Yes, I can say it is carry Size for Me Inside my DeSantis Pocket Holster Or on my Belt Holster, with No problems at All! I also carry my PMR30 in a Belt Holster! These are Both Great Carry Guns! Very Light weight and with the 16 round magazine or the 30 round 22 Magnum magazine, gives these Guns great fire power for carry guns!

Caution. Though threaded for a suppressor, too-slow 750 fps 'quiet' loads will NOT cycle. Those 900+fps (mushrooming speeds) will cycle.

Had one. Sold it. Replaced it with a Tx22 compact. Absolutely reliable. The Kel-Tec wasn't. Gave it the old College try to. In the 8 months i had it. Put about 3k rounds through it.
