Same what men went tru with the feminist movement in the 70-80s where they invaded any space that was occupied by male's. Men only clubs were shut down as it became illegal behaviour to refuse a woman entry to men only spaces. Iam keeping our of the trans genda arguments I personally believe people can do what ever they like as long as it doesn't affect anyone else. I really like Kelly but I can't help feeling that the revolution has boomeranged and now the women only spaces are reluctant to grant access to transgender people.

@@michaellear3276 Feminism is a different story at least for many colored communities. Prior to colonialism societies were far more matriarchal in the sense that both men and women worked equally and were respected. With colonialism came the illusion that women were property. It makes sense for feminists in the past to invade the spaces of those who oppressed them. Also important to note that men feel the exact same way when the roles are reversed. Being belittled, getting assaulted, cat called by men specifically, not having rights. No one wants to be controlled. I don't understand the heat Feminism recieves. I think it goes back to men being use to patriarchal constructs and not wanting to give up what they're use to.

There is a huge difference though between knowing that biological men shouldn't be in women's prisons, and then mocking trans people for how they look, calling them what they don't want to be called just for the sake of it, and even telling them that the mere concept of being trans is offensive and dangerous. Just to give an example, if these 'gender critical' feminists are going to claim that "facts can't be bigoted", why is it that so many of them want the pro life movement to self censor, or even ban them from protests at abortion clinics? Referring to abortion as killing, and showing pictures of mutilated fetus' is a truth and a reality. Yet the only arguments that people like Kellie have that those people should keep quiet is because it's 'insensitive' to women who had abortions. @Madison C I think you need to just relax a little. I believe and will always believe people are entitled to their own thoughts and feelings. She has a view and in todays society where there are acceptable views and non acceptable views, what JK Rowling has done is incredibly brave. She has stayed true to her own beliefs and values even in the face of the woke mob and we need more public figures like her to do they same. JK Rowlings views are common ones. Why do I know this? Because I have lived in the UK all my life and know people (real people not social media accounts) who feel exactly the same as her. These people are from all walks of life and represent all genders, ages and ethnicities. However, all of these people keep their views to themselves for fear of the labels they would get if they speak out. When people are hiding their true beliefs to please a small segment of society this is dangerous. Think of the Germans under hitlers rule that may not have hated Jews but had to keep quiet and go along with the general consensus for fear of themselves or their family suffering. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing and that is what I am seeing daily. It saddens me to see a generation of Britons cowering in fear like this. Britain has always been strong enough to stand up for what they believe even when it's not popular. This is one of the main reasons smaller countries in EU were gutted when we left as often we were the ones to raise concerns when Germany and France (who get more votes as they are larger countries) were pushing their wants on all of Europe. This is why we as a people voted to leave EU even when the media used every tool they had to paint that move as a racist one. We brits stand up for our values and sod what anyone else thinks about it. We know what we are doing is right and that's all we need to stay strong in the face of bullies. We Need more JK Rowlings. Think of all the public figures that knew about Harvey Weinstein and said nothing. All the ones that knew about Epstein and said nothing. Had one of those public figures had the spine to speak up and say something a lot of people could of avoided suffering at their hands. But all these rich movie stars said nothing because they dare put their careers and bank balance at risk. These are the people we have raised up and we wonder why the world is the way it is. Going against the grain does not make your life easier, it makes it much harder. But you need to be able to look at yourself in the mirror each day and like what you see staring back at you. If u hide your true feelings/values and beliefs out of fear of losing something (job, money, reputation) then u may live a more comfortable life but at what expense? Once you change one thing about yourself to fit in you will be changing things forever as the fashion moves for the rest of your life. I believe JK Rowling has put the female race first with the things she has said and I look at her as important for womenkind as I do Emily Pankhurst and all the suffragettes. Bravo to any woman that will defend women in the insane society we have found ourselves in. I have to laugh (sometimes hysterically) on a daily basis when I think of the world I find myself living in. Honestly it's like a bad sci-fi movie. Had anyone told any of us in the 90s what the 2020 decade would look like none of us would have believed it. If you had told me 20 years ago in 2003 I wouldn't have believed it then either. I hold onto the hope that this is just a fashion and like all fashions once a market is saturated people look at the alternative (usually the polar opposite). I hope for the days where values like family and working hard and being a contributing member of society are valued. Supporting your neighbours. Showing respect to elders. Changing the world whilst looking into the past and learning from mistakes made. Learning about each others cultures and the things different between us as a way of bringing people together. Lastly, respecting views that differ to your own and being able to have an adult conversation about world topics that impact us all. Diversity of views in friendship groups rather than the echo Chambers we see today. I grew up in the 90s and all my schools were multicultural. All backgrounds and religions under one roof and leave the identity politics and victim culture at the door. When I was growing up, being a victim was not something you wanted to be. We strive to be different and following the crowd was unfashionable. I have to believe we can get back there. Eminem 1st album was basically glorifying domestic violence and it was one of the most listened to album by teens everywhere. What does that tell you? We are a generation of woman beaters? Or is it we are just attracted to scandal? Had that album be released today it would likely be banned as not acceptable in society. I believe albums like that start a conversation about whether it's right or wrong and that is good. Send those views/opinions underground and shut down the conversations is when we are in trouble. This is what I see in today's age several times every day of the year. People shutting down opinions they do not like and it needs to stop for all our sakes.
