THANK YOU.....JEFF IS BEYOND UNDERRATED. It makes me mad he gets nite recognition. However what also makes me angrier by the day are the AMAZING NEW BANDS, or that came out this century no one know and it's the fault of THIS BS channel and Eddie Skunk. Bands like CRASHDIET, BLOODY HEELS, BURNING WITCHES, LUCIFER, GRAVE.....NOPE .we have people screaming where is White Lion? Hell Stryper is putting out the most amazing work.....nope no promotes them. KISS is mmy face band ever....still are....love Tommy and Eric but there are younger bands that live this music .....and not a joke band like horrible Steel Panther.....and none of these legacy bands bring them over because they will get blown off stage

Even though Hansen will never "be" Gramm, he still does an admirable job singing Foreigner's catalog of songs. And he's absolutely right about getting out at the "top of the hill" so to speak. Nothing is forever for live performers but at least the original recordings and live recorded performances will be around to enjoy, indefinitely.

Unusaual heat is a great cd. Johnnie Edwards ( Grammy’s) first replacement does a good job.

I agree. I play the Unusual Heat album more than I do the 6 albums before it with Lou Gramm. Also, people aren't aware that in 1990 when Lou left Foreigner for a solo career, which became the group SHADOW KING. Replacing Lou came down to 3 finalist 👉 Mark Free (King Kobra) Johnny Edwards (Montrose, Wild Horses) and Kelly Hansen (Hurricane) yep Kelly tried out before but the band wisely chose Johnny Edwards. Even singer Billy Joel (Micks friend)told Edwards, "I dig you man, I didn't like the other two." The response Joel gave after hearing demos from Free , Edwards, and Hansen.

I saw Foreigner in concert right after Hansen came in as new lead singer and he and the whole band kicked a## . I was so inpressed they sounded so tight and it was like Hansen had been there since the beginning.

The reason why Foreigner is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because Mick Jones was friends with someone who runs the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame they used to go out to dinner together they used to go to concerts together talk to each other communicate have their families spend time with each other and then all the sudden their friendship took a sudden turn and they no longer talk to each other it's become to this that's one of the reasons why Foreigner not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because Mick Jones and his best friend's friendship went down the toilet so that's basically the end of that you'll find the article here on KZbin be sure to check out rock History Month with do Lou Gramms interview and that's where you will find it.

The guy Mick fell out with was Jann Wenner. Jann actually helped Mick years earlier(as tight friends)by letting Mick use a plane by Rolling Stone magazine to fly to Los Angeles in 1990 to talk Johnny Edwards into being the first replacement for Lou Gramm. Johnny, Mark Free and yep, Kelly Hansen were the final 3 out of 300 singers Foreigner was considering for the singing job. The band chose Edwards and 14 years later Hansen was the singer in a new reconfigured FOREIGNER 3:44 .​@andrerone8208

Of course he doesn't sing like he used to. He's 73 years old and really what would you expect him to do ? Just roll over and die ?? Lou is living his life , not existing. I applaud him for going forward even without Foreigner. He wasn't treated well by Mick anyway.
