So cute!! Here is a thought... write a little note, maybe on the back of a photo, saying who made it and when and maybe something interesting about the family or the world at the time. Then years in the future maybe someone will get a fantastic surprise!!! Thanks for sharing your talents, always enjoy your videos 💚

I love this idea. I don’t like crackle paint but I love the rest. I’ve been looking for a lamp for our guest room that I’m fixing up mainly for our grandchildren to come spend the night. We have 6 so far. I really love the mason jar idea. It’s the perfect size for what I want. Stay safe and God Bless

Totally keep the bit at an angle to start, Ive drilled holes in several mason jars. They are great for the bottom if you want to use a a jar as a planter for drainage. They also have those great lamp kit tops too. I did one of those half gallons and filled it the brush trees with LED lights and left the battery pack out the back using the hole.

Omgoodness I did this years ago. I made a much for Christmas gifts. I added old wooden thread spools, buttons any small old items my mom had in her collection of stuff. It was a remembrance of my mom too. Only I found the light fixture and cord all connected together for about $5/6 in Amish country one year. (Ohio has a lot of Amish places to visit. ) This meant I didn't have to drill any holes in it. Yours turned out so nice. I never would have thought of painting it. Love the crackle technique.

Kelly when you are mixing paint if you can weigh it on a kitchen scale, then you will know how much you put of each color you are using! Doing it this way will help you remake the same color again! Love your beautiful project!

I have amazing results with Elmers glue. I don’t use a fan for drying and I also do one brush stroke over the glue so it doesn’t mess up the crackle.

Honestly it really is very calming and relaxing to me! When I previously would film my DIY’s I’d set everything up in the middle of my house and take it down everyday which was such a hassle! I don’t like looking at a mess so that’s what I did! Now I can just leave my stuff up if I’m not finished and close the door! So much easier now❣️
