My take is that American actors have big egos and are far less disciplined than British actors. From what I understand, British actors show up to work having learned their lines. American actors often do not. Americans think it's funny to screw up their lines (as is evidenced by the thousands of KZbin videos of "bloopers"). Acting is an "art" for the Brits. It's a way to make a lot of $ & feed your ego for Americans.

@alexanderson1193 I'm referring particularly to the interview he gave on the Oscars red carpet in 2023. It went viral. He was not pleasant or professional. I saw “Heretic” last week. Grant was good and the movie is worth seeing but I might advise waiting for streaming. I found it to be just a bit too predictable, including the critique of religion, which didn’t really break any new ground, in my opinion. Jordan Peele, Mike Flanagan, John Logan and Joss Whedon and others have raised the bar in horror so a movie like “Heretic” needs to show real originality to break through.
