You were spot on with the meaning of the song and I just wanted to say that the whole video represented what Kelsea's life would have looked like had she not moved to Nashville. If you notice, at the beginning of the video, the tv has kenny on the knoxville commercial and at the end, it is kelsea in the commercial. Im obsessed with this video!!

I instantly cry whenever I watch this video. You totally nailed what she was getting at in the song. I love the concept of the video too, showing the what if I had stayed scenario but then at the end showing how proud she was that she chose the path she did.

I will admit that I am not fond of my hometown but listening to this song makes me think of the good memories instead of the bad ones. Especially when I drive by my high school listening to it. I went to Castle High School so my school letters are CHS as well which really drives that feeling of home. Everything she talks about in this song just hits the spot in me that does appreciate where I am from and the experiences I had.

So happy you did this one. This song (like you said) just hits different and I do resonate with it on so many levels. Kelsea and Kenny Chesney singing this song together is like my two worlds colliding. Same as, Kelsea and Paul Klein bc I love them both so much. These are the songs/videos you feel in your gut. I still get goosebumps listening to Homecoming Queen by Kelsea bc it’s nostalgic for me and I relate so much with her music and this genre in general. I listen to all genres, like nothing is a no for me, if it’s music, I’m in. lol but I enjoyed hearing your story and how you felt about this. It’s very much the same for me so thank you for this.
