I know a lot of simmers don't like kits but I don't think it's that bad. It's nice to have things broken down smaller so I can spend my money on things I really want and not waste it on a huge pack that I'm only interested in part of lol

@@chronically_kyra I have to disagree. Expansion packs are $40! I am literally saving money for the growing together pack because of the price. I can swing $5 pretty easily if it's something I really want but if it costs more than that and I have to be more picky. I have purchased more than one game pack based solely on a couple of cas or build items. If those were broken up I could have bought what I really wanted and saved the rest.

Kelsey you should get the desert luxe kit. The curtains and the empty curtain rod will be used in nearly every build. No other dlc has anything like it.

As a Brazilian and Pabllo Vittar fan, I was happy to see the Carnaval kit high on the rank (also, Carnaval just happened). I should mention Pabllo herself recorded a simlish version of a song to be included in the game, so it does bring the full Carnaval energy

My faves are the incheon arrivals, pastel pop and little campers! I love the basics in incheon arrivals and use them all the time. The pastel pop just has so many cute, colorful and multi-use items. I also always use little campers to make backyards look fun and for kids gameplay!

The Incheon kit is definitely my #1 pick for CAS kits. I use it all the time! I tend to do a lot of modern builds, so the Industrial Loft kit ranks pretty high for me as my #2 for the build kits. Plus, the item descriptions in that kit give some much needed lore for Johnny Zest, one of my favorite townies and often the first baby daddy in my legacy families. The furniture adds a nice touch to rags-to-riches playthroughs. Blooming Rooms is my #1 build kit, simply because I find that there isn't a single build that I make without using it in nearly every room. The hanging plant options are must haves for me! I also size up or down the items to give them a different look, making the items double or triple in function. Highly recommend for adding greenery to any build, inside or out!

An idea I had since Simtimates was released is how good it would be if, when you set up multiple costumes in a category in CAS, you could have a certain costume appear if you were in a certain mood when you went to change it. With the sleepwear, some of it only makes sense if the sim is flirty for example, while others would make more sense if they were sad and dressing up for comfort. In regards to Bust The Dust, yeah, I'm not sure I'll ever look to get that. In the Sims 3, I'd often ignore adding washers or dryers because all it did was add more annoying busywork to your daily routine. A pack that just adds a chore? I have better things to spend my money on...

i have the carnival streetwear kit, i love it! it make me laugh when a person ages up, you go to give them a new look, and even the toddlers and kids are wearing make up and jewelry from the kit. LOL!! - i love the little campers kit, so cute. goes good with the Parenthood pack. but i will say, ive found the kids outside taking a nap in the tent, or finding something to play with and taking it in there to hide it. i use the little radio in all the rooms, especially in the toddlers room to play a lullaby while they sleep i use the frog campers chairs all over the house, as the toddlers choose these, bear chairs, and grandmas loveseat to sit to eat, and nap on the loveseat. this is my favorite pack! lots of things to keeps the kids occupied. - ive never used the desert luxe kit, though it was free. -

I've only bought BB kits. The ones I lean into daily are Pastel Pop, Industrial Loft, and Maximalist. And Industrial Loft and Desert Luxe go together amazingly well. Such a vibe. I'm so bored with CAS lately but don't own any of clothing kits and had no idea which ones might solve the problem. Your ranking helped answer the question.

Commenting late on this video but I just watched it lol I really wish they did gameplay kits too for just fun little niche activities that aren’t enough for a whole pack but still wanted in the game. Also, as a kpop fan, the Incheon kit was so exciting! They nailed it with the casual wear of the traditional Hanbok all the way down to the sneakers. (Out every single content released ever for the sims 4, those are by far the best sneakers we have gotten imo)❤

I can understand the ranking for the Industrial Loft Kit, but the two items I loooove from that kit are the two that bring more lore into the game: the Johnny Zest Sweet Revenge Sofa and Armchair. Every time I start a new save, after plunking down my main sim into a house, the first thing I do is go to Johnny Zest's trailer and replace his sofa and armchair with the ones from the Industrial Loft Kit. Because he NEEDS those two pieces in his home.

Personally I bought that pack for everything in it that isn’t laundry because the CAS and build/buy is pretty nice. You can even still put the laundry machines in your builds so long as there are no laundry baskets on the build (or so I understand. I haven’t played any lots with laundry machines on them), so you can have the aesthetic without the laundry if you want it. Yeah it means you lost the gameplay for the pack, but the aesthetic is worth it in my mind. Who knows, maybe I’ll even try the game play one of these days. On the other hand, Bust the Dust without the gameplay means you have five vaccuums. That’s not much for the cost. I am considering getting it for the dust bunnies, but it will be the last kit I get if I do (unless someone gifts me the kit I will not buy because I would use even less of the contents of it).
