As one comment just mentioned I got to apologize for my joke about calling cycle syncing like horoscopes. Obviously the LAST thing I want to do is dismiss the needed research on woman’s menstrual cycle and its impact on performance. As I did talk about exactly how it does and there is science behknd some of it. I should’ve explained better that I do see some people on social media take it to the EXTREME with no science backing (think drink moon water on certain days etc) vs. The actual science explained by people like dr Stacy sims. I’m actually in the middle of a full video about this right now and promise to cover all the science, realistic tips, AND mentioned the things that are in “horoscope” territory. Sorry about this 🫶

The top health tips highlighted in the video: 1. Prioritize Omega-3s: Incorporate omega-3 fatty acids into your diet for their numerous health benefits. 1. Morning Sunlight: Expose yourself to morning sunlight to regulate circadian rhythms and improve sleep quality(5-10 minutes on sunny day and 15-20 minutes on overcast day) 3. Get strong/Regular Physical Activity: Engage in consistent exercise to maintain overall health and well-being. Hypertrophy builds muscle and strength/power training works on speed and agility drills. Make sure to progressively overload. Staying strong helps with longevity 4. Cycle syncing- weight train in the first 2 weeks of your cycle and deload/recover in the last 2 weeks of your cycle 5. Exercise is the best longevity drug Best exercises for each muscle group: (bicep=face away bayesian curl, shoulder=cable lateral raise, quad=hack squat, tricep=overhead cable tricep extension using the bar, back=chest supported rows, abs=weighted crunch and leg raise, chest=machine chest press, glute=glute kickbacks, hip thrusts, banded sidewalks, cable pull through, back extension, frog pump, hip abduction, Romanian deadlift) 6. 3 to do lists-never have more than 3 things to do in a to d list. 7. To gain muscle and lose weight- calorie deficit, eat protein, progressive overload. Easier to get stronger than change your diet. 8. Nutrition connects to mental health- increase protein intake, gut microbiome is connected to serotonin production (gut=mental health) 9. Truth or scare: Limiting wireless Bluetooth headphone use (no studies that strongly linked radio frequencies from AirPods/phones to cancer, ongoing research); research about mineral vs chemical sunscreen use is inconclusive 10. PFAs in leggings are miniscule and there are also PFAs in the environment 11. Training visual focus helps with mental focus. Humans have limited focus capacity (can only focus on 2 things(internal and external stimuli); BUT intense focus requires combining both into one). Improve focus with breath work, light exposure, nutrition, sleep, mindfulness, and temperature 12. How to become successful and stop negative thoughts: become aware of unconscious thoughts and beliefs→ challenge and reframe →intention and attention → emotional regulation → breath work practice → meditate and reprogramming → practice and patience 13. Vitamin D is important for immune and brain health. Minimum of 5000 IU vitamin D + 120 mg vitamin K daily. 14. Adequate Sleep: Ensure you get sufficient sleep each night to support bodily functions and mental health. 15. Live with intention 16. 5 second rule - if you want to do something count to 5 seconds and just do it 17. To increase endurance: increase volume, importance of fuel and nutrition, implement speed work, focus on body composition, endure the process 18. Weightlifting for women won’t make you bulky 19. Romanticize your life

not only that but now we know menstrual blood is actually full of stem cells? so many parts of womanhood that are demonized or shamed can also be our strength! We have to stop apologizing for the way we were made and normalize women as the valuable people we are- NOT a product that has to look nice to be sold to a consumer.

As a nurse who works 12+ hours overnight, another tip from Andrew Huberman and studies in general is consistency in schedule. I find swapping schedules to a day shift one on my days off destroys my energy and overall health. And absolutely I avoid morning sunlight unfortunately. Basically all andrew huberman recommends but in reverse to optimize my nightowl life as much as it can be.

Keltie, yes yes yes! This was a very well-rounded video. I did the same thing as you for the past few years; I have been binging all of the wellness podcasts. Many of the exact same as you. I really appreciate how you are throwing in the reminder that we dont have to obsess about our health and wellness, despite how it feels listening to all of these podcasts, and we can go at this in an easy pace, with multiple other interests at hand. Just wanted to add in a really big takeaway discussed on Dr Lyon's nad Huberman's podcast with Stacy Sims is not having women fast at all, and that they should aim to have at least 30 grams of protein before AND after a workout in order for protein synthesis to have its affect for gaining muscle and getting stronger. I read Stacey Sims book, I love her approach to women's fitness, and this tip of protein before a workout has improved my health dramatically! I no longer fast, and my hormone health improved. I understand that this is not for every woman, but I believe the majority of women would benefit knowing they should NOT starve themselves in the morning. They need protein! Even a protein drink is better than nothing! Otherwise, I think you got alot of the tips they share the most, especially the new wellness science for women which is huge! Love your channel

I’d love to get tips on health/fitness podcasts that are aimed more at neurodivergent people while still being evidence based. Things like “choose one task to focus on for three hours and eliminate distractions” are a bit more nuanced when you need background noise and “quick win” tasks to keep you on track. I feel like a lot of the podcasts about neurodivergence are just a group of neurospicy friends yapping away about their own experiences and views on the world in a sort of ‘bubble of relatability’ (“oh my god I have that too! So annoying right? Yeah.”) and I think it would be great if there was something out there where it’s actual experts examining ways in which broader research does or doesn’t apply to those who are wired differently.

Since I'm on my way to loose some serious weight, I love the advice to focus on resistance training. Most times I do a good job with nutrition at home, but completing a workout makes me way happier than a healthy meal 🤷‍♀️😊

The best kind of exercise is the kind that someone enjoys and will do consistently or even semi-consistently! That can be dance workouts, short walks, gentle, stretching, any of the numerous forms of yoga, the list goes on. Any kind of joyful movement has excellent health benefits, and mental health as well, of course!

I absolutely loved this video-thank you so much for sharing! Just a quick note: I noticed a small typo in the Vitamin D section, which is especially important when discussing dosages. You mentioned that Gary Brecka recommends 120 milligrams (mg) of Vitamin K per day, but I believe you meant 120 micrograms (mcg) instead, as Gary specifically recommends 120 mcg, not 120 mg. For reference, my Thorne Vitamin K bottle indicates that 15 mg is 1,200% of the daily value. Hope this helps!

I'm always so surprised when people who are really into health and nutrition focus so much on protein but don't emphasize fiber. For longevity and disease prevention it seems backwards to me! Great video, thanks

Thank you! I started listening to health podcasts because of you (ahem Huberman). But I really do not have the time to listen to all of them, as much as I wish (I think I dropped a comment in one of your videos a month ago(?) about living my life through you, because there's just too much to do, because I've got bills to pay lol!). This video is just great! GREAT!

9:57 it was the complete opposite for me. I think it depends on your starting line. Working out is so hard when you weigh over 300 lb. I was working out constantly while i gained that weight, and tried it back up several times over the decades that i was there. It really doesn't work to start with exercise when the weight is stopping you, and eating healthier makes so much more of a difference.

Hi! I really love your channel I'm always excited to see you post and I wish more people would see how awesome your content is. Also this may be eird but I'm going to use your channel as one of my exemples in a memoir for communication science xD. In general is about how the influencer market profits from parasocial relationships and how influencers build a parasocial relationship. (You're the "good" exemple btw) ❤
