This video is so real. I remember trying to follow Huberman’s morning routine and I was just struggling. I had an epiphany one morning, “Huberman doesn’t have kids.” And I scrapped most of it after that 😂

Type B here. My advice is always take a moment to sip your tea. I am a waitress and that job can be so god damn stressful. I always make a cup of tea sometime during my shift right around dinner rush. In the middle of everything, I dissapear for like 2 seconds and have a sip of tea and text my husband a heart. That is what really matters and the stress of making everyone out in the dining room happy doesn't mean much or affect my actual mood. Edited for grammer Edit 2: Not actually sure if I'm type A or type B.

@sidneysummerhop1996 thankyou! It doesn't have to be tea but make it SOMETHING. Even a special rock in your pocket that you rub when you're in the middle of bullshit at work or wherever. It's sooooo worth it. Self care at all times lol.

I've binged so many videos of yours lately, and in one you asked why we are watching your content... This. This video. The honest influencing, no smokes and mirrors, the acknowledgement that we have lives outside of social media. Paired with hygge. And for me, random but very personal, I once almost married to move to Alberta, so you always touch my soul by being from Edmonton.

I’m Danish, and while hygge runs in our blood, I wanna say that you got a much better grasp of the concept than most nonnatives! It is the only thing that gets us through the cold, dark winter. Great video!

This is actually great advice. "We're already doing so much, just slow down a little and enjoy life with the people around you" is exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you so much, it means the world to me to hear this from a fitness influencer
@amaya022319 күн бұрын
What I love about watching you is that you keep things realistic and don't just regurgitate the same old ideas that everyone else talks about. When I watch a Keltie video I know there will be some aspect of innovation and relevance to my life - like the point about It Girl era vs Slow Girl era and "no bad weather, just bad clothes." Some things like sauna and electrolytes I hear you talk about often, but it's not part of the rotation of stuff that I hear many other influencers talk about. And I feel like everything you talk about is actionable & relevant too! Thanks for being you, Keltie. I know you had asked for feedback on the previous Doing Nothing video but while you're talking about writing things down right away, I wanted to get this down on paper (haha) while I'm right here with the video paused.

I personally love your video, because I’m from Russia, and we have like actual winter. and it’s cold, and it’s dark, and all those advices from people who live somewhere in Florida are simply not applicable. They’re great, but not applicable and here comes your advices which are taking winter, cold, darkness, and really short days into consideration. that’s really helpful and refreshing, thank you!

There are a lot of videos about optimizing a nightshift schedule, but it’s so difficult to get a workout in, good sleep, sunlight, and decent food when you’re working 12 hour night shifts. I’m training for my first half marathon & can’t seem to find a video that covers everything I’m concerned about. Would love to see Keltie make a night shift tips video someday 😭 I know it would be bomb

Don't get me wrong, I'm so, so grateful we've all become more health conscious, (maybe a lil obsessed even,) but I'm ten fold more that we're finally leveling it all back out. Progress > perfection.❤ Also I've been practicing being present doing all the things I've been rushing thru these past few years, & it is 100% the magic sauce to more contentment.

I hope i dont offend anyone with this comment but one thing i really like about you is the fact that we have a similar body type & weight and i think you're absolutely beautiful, while i often struggle with my looks. Its kinda crazy, maybe im just used to seeing me but this makes this whole thing a little more comforting to me tbh, sorry if thats a weird thought.

13:13 I started doing that (writing every idea that I have) on my phone notes and sometimes on a notepad because Mitski (a composer and singer) told in an interview that she writes her thoughts on a notepad mostly for writing songs and that most of them are trash but sometimes there's that 1% that's really good and useful. There are times that maybe you can even connect things that you thought about individually and make something "meh" become something good by connecting and re-thinking those thoughts.

Loved the video a lot! I think youre very right about (all of them but especially) #12. I would love a video in the style of 'what i did / occupied myself with last month/year, that wasnt about just myself' or even in the new years resolutions context. Im thinking of talking about examples like supporting friends and family through stressful times, putting toughts into gifts, buying a homeless person food and talking to them, working in the social field, trying to eat more vegan for the climate, informing yourself about the worlds news and donating money, signing petitions etc. Would be a nice reminder as you said that self-growth/care arent the only things to focus on. So as you see, you really inspired me with #12 !

They hygge section - I miss winter right now. Most days are up around or over 40°C at the moment here in Sydney. Of course, in winter, is also horrible and I miss the mid-season during winter! The simple To Do list - I'm literally creating my Notion plan for next year while watching this, whoops! Failed already!! The Do Nothing section, part of my Notion plan is actually trying to strip back my daily plan. Ahhhh, Heat Exposure Therapy - So, I was at a Christmas Party yesterday and I mentioned going to a sauna and literally EVERYONE there jumped on me (I should point out that it was full of people who were sensorily adverse to temperature changes) - "Why would you do that?!" "That sounds awful!!" - Calm your farm people, it's for the health benefits and it's not the point of my story, I'm trying to tell you about the random point in there mansplaining my occupational specialty to me, but aside from that, health benefits... They wouldn't have a bar of it. It's nice to see it reflected here - I knew I wasn't mad (and I have seen your many videos on this before and I started on Andrew Huberman's videos (but they were too long, I have ADHD, I got bored / distracted), as well as Dr Rhonda Patrick's studies, which I did enjoy. You Canadians are inspirational to me! I'm in my slow / it girl era - I split it by the day or the week. Although I had way too much slow through winter here, which probably came from a depressive episode. As for the D... I need to stop getting sunburnt. I wear high SPF, but I still get burnt. I need to be more careful. Australia... if it's not too little then it's too much! As for brain dumping - If you can't type it down, I recommend using a vocal prompt. So, I think a lot when driving. I can't touch my phone when driving, for legal and safety reasons, so I ask Siri to make a note for me and then ask Siri to remind me at a time when I can type it out, where I will put it in my "Ideas" page in Notion.

So inspiring, as always! I’m curious about this Canada/Sweden switching you do, do you have houses both places etc? I live in Norway and it’s so weird to see swedish groceries when you think you’re in US/ Canada 😅 For 2025 I’m focusing on follow through. I think my word of the year is completion (or fulllfør as I would say in Norwegian). And not in that hurried way, but doing one thing at the time, reading max two books at the time (ebook and audiobook), finish my knitting project before starting a new one, get these once and done project in my house complete (like reading through my old journals and take notes - check out the concept of silent to do list from Fumio Sasaki, it’s powerful). I also want to focus on meditation, yoga, stillness, slowness. Being out in nature. I also want to focus on a low buy year, just being content with what I have, what I am, what I want to do. Just to be a human being and not a human doing all the time.

December is the worst for me in terms of getting sunlight, which I need desperately, so I feel like crap most of the month (until the last quarter when I try getting everything done last minute lol). So in addition to vitamin D supplement I try to set up and use more warm lights around the apartment. For me it really helps, especially because my overhead lighting makes everything cold and lifeless

One of my favorite song lyrics says "Life is all about you, and yet not at all about you. That's two opposing thoughts, yet both of them are true." -- Basically if we focus on other people, it actually enriches our own lives. It's absolutely worth investing in relationships with our friends, family, and community because it fills you in a way that you can't achieve by yourself.
