Kemimoto Motorcycle Handlebar Mirror: amzn.to/3nIuS6T I was looking for a low profile mirror for my motorcycle when I stumbled across this Kemimoto mirror on Amazon. I have used them mounted facing up... and facing down. Visibility in the up position is "best" but the look of the bike with them mounted down is AMAZING! Click here to purchase:

I saw the Missenden Flyer put some on a RE INT and thought about doing the same on a scrambler.

I think these would work pretty good. The one thing I've noticed about most bar end style mirrors is they are ridiculously small to the point that I'm not sure if people can even see very much out of them? I have a feeling most guys just use them to be legal? These look like you'll actually be able to see behind you pretty good. Since I'm still somewhat new to motorcycles I rely heavily on my rear view mirrors.

Yeah, the view was really good out of them. Better mounted up than down... but they LOOK SO Good in the down position!

So which way did you prefer them? Below the handlebars or above the handlebars?

Do those mirrors vibrate much being so close to the end of the handle bars
@manybikes

They were pretty good actually. The unevenly worn knobby front tire is what is making them vibrate. On a bike with a smooth street tire they would be glass smooth.

Since you are fairly new to the "valley of the sun", you may not realize you put the em-PHA-sys on the wrong sy-LA-bol... "Sonoran" is pronounced, suh-NOR-an. :-)

Noob to the desert for sure! Well... the sign needs an Accent then ;)- thanks for the correction! Now, how do you pronounce Motoz? Or Akrapovic or Sena? Lot’s to learn for sure!

@@manybikes Ha!... Good questions... Since I learned how to pronounce Motoz from you (by watching your tire review series) and have since put a set on my big bike, I get to practice the pronunciation each time someone asks what I run. As for the others, I cheat and say "Akra" and "Comms". :-) Now, the real test to determine if you are comfortable in your new environment is when you can correctly pronounce cholla and saguaro. Although, an accepted and universally understood replacement if you ever run into one is "M@#th%!&r F&*$kR@&". See you on the trails. :-)

@@manybikes Ack! Yeah, that looked like a buckhorn cholla. But the most notorious ones are those they gave a sweet, cuddly name to; Teddy Bear Cholla. If you have not yet met one of those up close and personal, there is no shame in avoiding the introduction by all measures. They are also called Jumping Cholla. They look squeezably soft, but they're not so much. Their bad attitude compels them to lie in wait until an unsuspecting passerby gets a tad too close. The bad news, if you ride in the desert long enough, you will eventually meet. It's a sort of right of passage. The secret weapon for this inevitable union is a comb. Any hiker, mtn biker or offroad motorcyclist who is worth his weight in salt will always have a comb within quick reach. A comb allows you to quickly slip it under the body of the spines and "whip" it away from you. Mind you, NOT in the direction of other people, which although hilarious, does not make friends. Speed is important to get as many of the remaining spines out as possible. The spines have little barbs at the end that will swell with the moisture in your skin (blood) making them more resistant to removal as the minutes pass. Sometimes, instead of ripping your flesh like you're yanking out a fish hook, it's easier to just push them all the way through and pull from the other side of your hand. So for instance, if you are riding back to your truck in the dark at a local race track, after a brief spin to warm up the engine before a night race, and the bright lights from the track are in your eyes making it near impossible to see, and you feel a subtle bump on your left hand just prior to pulling back up to your truck, and as you try to step off your bike to finish gearing up you suddenly notice severe pain in your hand as you try to release the grip, you might learn that the spines that went all the way through your hand and pinned it to the grip will come out easier if your friend helps pry your fingers and palm off and uses pliers to pull the offending needles the rest of the way through. Ask me how I know :-)
