Ken is a real gem. We need a lot more like him. He is so down-to-earth and straight-shooting he would qualify as a real Aussie! We'd do well to use him as a model of communications in all medical schools. Imagine that!!!

Peter, do you know which aussie labs will run a c-peptide and fasting insulin?

Since going ketovore I have cured my gum disease, high blood pressure, toenail fungus, skin tags, IBS and acne, to name just a few heath issues that I didn't even realise were a diet related issues until they went away. I was a normal weight but ate a high sugar (carb) diet. I can only assume, looking back, that I was prediabetic without knowing it. Pleased to say I'm not now so thank you both for your advice!

What's a ketovore? Is that cross between keto and carnivore ? What foods are you eating ? Or not eating . Do you eat dairy ? Vegetable filled salads like Greek salads with feta cheese and olives ?
@andreafalconiero90893 жыл бұрын
@@denzaharo9326 It's basically a carnivore diet with a few plant-based, low-carb "extras" from a ketogenic diet. You could also think of it as a heavily meat-based ketogenic diet (>90% animal products). There's no fixed definition -- just a diet that's somewhere between a carnivore diet and a traditional ketogenic diet.

My drs checked for some auto immune diseases, yet have never checked my insulin and cholesterol levels. I fixed it all on my own with the help of Drs Mason, Berry and Zoe Harcombe. This community helped me recover my health and my future.

According to the CDC, people with prediabetes often develop type 2 diabetes within 5 years if they do not get treatment. The onset of type 2 diabetes can be gradual, and symptoms can be mild during the early stages. As a result, many people may not realize that they have this condition.👍

Indeed, fasting glucose tell us very little about the state of our insulin levels.

Paul or Ken, can you please explain how the Randle Cycle plays into this? Are the carbs alone causing hyperinsulinemia, or does the Randle Cycle have to be activated? Or both? And/or which is a bigger problem? Thank you for considering my question.

liver fat is the root issue, caused by fructose, excessive glucose, and vegetable oils.

@Dr Paul Mason and Dr Brukner . I love listening to your lectures . This Dr Berry is awesome too. I'm going for my second 3 monthly tests tomorrow . Hba1c cholesterol insulin fasting glucose etc . Do you recommend any specific test . I've already reversed my hba1c from 11.4 to 5.6 in 3 months. Tomorrow will be my 6 months . I'm worried about my ldl as I have some gum issues . Watching some Ford Brewer and Dr Berg I feel like I need probably to get some antibiotics perhaps to kill any bacteria that's deep down my gums . What are your thoughts ? Apparently these bacteria cause havoc around the cardiovascular system making holes everywhere and the ldl just does its job and plugs the holes . ??????
@marvinnelson50733 жыл бұрын
Decades ago, it was shown that you cure gum infection with hydrogen peroxide. Just like the fellow showed bacteria cause ulcers, with the difference being the cure has been largely ignored. So you go to the dentist, they take a knife and jab it into the infection multiple time and then the healing and scaring pulls thing together. Or, if you get a progressive dentist they use a special gel. Key being you have to go to the dentist to get it. Now it’s not just a quick rinse but antibiotics don’t generally work that well, get the gel treatment from a dentist or do some digging and do it yourself.

I hear people stating that gall stone and the attacks of pain are related to fat in the diet BUT , dear doc, this would rather be a symptom of wrong diet mainly based on carbs . I would expect this to be another indication for being somewhere on the spectrum of TD2 . What do you think ? I think we should focus on healthy rather than “normal” . If a1c zero is the best that is what we should aim for . ( is there a too low a1c?)

Sir my age is 30 I was diagnosed diabetic in December 2021 with Hba1c of 12. I also was following Jason fung who adviced for keto and intermittent fasting method. However I continued his method Today my hba1c is 5.2 and fasting suger is 84 without any drugs and my C peptid is in normal rang. My question here is if I continue his method the rest of my life, and I will surely do it means that I have reversed diabetic 100% or I would still be called a diabetic. Please sir give me ur precious suggestiongs

From what I've learned from these guys - very low carb, keto or carnivore diet with about 18 hrs intermittent fasting should do it.

Get rid of vegetable oils and processed foods, eat wholesome real foods and include red meat, organ meat, saturated fats and seafood.
@denzaharo93263 жыл бұрын
Avoid Vegetable/seed oils. Avoid Starchy carbs like wheat corn rice etc. Quit snacking. 3 meals a day or less even . Everything you eat you causes an insulin response except for fat. So eat less often . 2 square meals is enough . Do not snack betweeen meals ever . Drink tea and coffee without sugar in between . Quit all artificial sugars . Try and eat organic as much as possible. Walks . Lots of exercise.

Surely questions have to be asked as to why it isn't the medical schools that are teaching this stuff . How can it be that a lay person who reads a decent book on nutrition can know more about nutrition and health than not just your GP but also the Consultant Physician at even a University Hospital ?

It's the insurance system and the mba class who have taken over. We have walmart style medicine...high volume. You are not paid more for spending time to figure out root cause. So if a doctor can spend a minute writing you a prescription or 30 minutes going through a good history and is paid the same, why do the latter? You also can't do the latter if the schedule consists of 15 min appts back to back. That's the main issue. It wasn't always like this. My father was a doctor. He hated the factory style, efficiency model of the mbas that took over the hospital and private clinics. Many doctors hate this. Dr. Berry has found a way to monetize his knowledge and help max number of people. Kudos to him.
