Paul Mason has emerged, in my estimation, as THE vanguard speaker and advocate for LC/NC dietary practice. Everything is well substantiated from published research data, and sieved through his impressive critical thinking skills. I just can’t think of any of his work- chats, videos, what have you, whereby I was unable to glean at least a modicum of actionable “ah, ha!”, or personal erudition. Thx!

Great info :) Went full carnivore last Feb 57yr old 5’11” male now @175lbs I was over 275 lbs so over 100 lost and all joint pain went away all the morning get moving brain fog gone so much more ! As far as around the 40min mark gastrointestinal no issues and no keto flu when I went into this I am OK with cooked fat going to have to try it raw :) but my steak I only cook to 124 degrees so very rare interesting on the raw from Emily thumbs up on that I do not do well on pork anymore and find I need red meat big time and fish is OK but not satiated ever from it and being from Hawaii fish has to be raw !

Wanted to chime in on eating raw. I'm currently 35w pregnant and find eating raw has helped my intense heartburn immensely. I've come to the point where cooked fats also make me feel a bit sick, this after nearly 2 years of carnivore eating. I too have had mental issues in the past but notice raw food makes me calmer than any prescription i've ever been given in the past. Cheers!

Just started Carnivore today. Have watched a lot of Dr Mason's videos recently and learned a lot. He's a great teacher! I also watch other Dr's that promote Carnivore. One thing I've noticed is that all of these Docs look super healthy. Most look damn near ripped. Many work with athletes as well. They know what they're talking about. They're straight up with you. They don't seem to have time for all the BS that most "media" doctors are constantly getting wrong. They give you their honest opinion and tell you to do what works best for you. Those on tv shouting at others for eating lots of meat are being paid by a news corporation agenda, that want us on synthetic garbage. I refuse to eat that. My goal is to lose around 30 pounds. Put on some muscle. Look healthy! I'm 6'2, 188lbs as of this morning. Thank you for all the information, Dr Mason. Cheers from America!

So glad I don't have this issue with tomatoes... They're the one thing I'd have trouble giving up. Also maybe try cooking em, or even pressure cooking/canning. If it's Lectins, this may denature the proteins enough to be a non issue.

A big issue stated here was autoimmune disease. Those with, for example, Hypothyroidism (Hashimoto’s) are held captive by the medical system, by not providing the correct tests, or interpretation of results, AND often the wrong, and insufficient treatment. This keeps the diseased state strong and in regards to iron, access to available iron is significantly reduced, and ferritin elevated. Again the full iron panel is often not tested, only ferritin, and the interpretation is in error. The unavailability of Liiothyronine (T3), and the villianization of it as a good treatment hinders the recovery. Doctors typically fixate on only TSH testing and treating with T4; but often only after TSH is very high, and patients have suffered for years. There needs to be more studies involving T3 and show to close minded doctors that it is beneficial, especially when dosed enough and correctly titrated upward. Patients are held hostage away from quality care… in all age groups they are dismissed. Thyroid hormone replacement meds have even been taken away. No one would think it logical to take away insulin from a person with Type 1 Diabetes…. then why is ok to do so to people suffering with Hypothyroidism?? People with severe Hypothyroidism often gain weight and don’t have the same response to the lower carb diet that others do. I wish PROPERLY conducted studies could be done exploring that, involving T3 or NDT. T4 is not an appropriate treatment for many people, denying people access to conversion of active T3 instead of Reverse T3 inhibiting absorption. It is so bad, people cannot work or function in their daily lives. The understanding of T3 meds is just as bad as the understanding of carnivore diet and eating animal fat; standard allopathic doctors (and Endocrinologists) just don’t accept it and refuse to listen.

Great movement!!! However, it's astonishing how many people/doctors are still ignorant about the amazing benefits of reducing carbs. I've been doing the carnivorish lifestyle for several years ...I'm the Healthiest 65 year young I know😁😁
@morbidvampire31993 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if this will get answered here....I can hope! I've been carnivore now since the start of this year--minus a few days where old sweet cravings got the better of me--and have had some great results so far which is awesome. The one question I have not been able to settle in my mind is the whole calorie issue. i don't count macros or calories and eat till I feel comfortable which generally has me eating OMAD as I am just not super hungry more than once, occasionally twice a day. Sometimes my brain does the math automatically and I know that I am not eating as many calories as traditionally I have been told I need. Even eating a carnivore diet such as I am is there a risk of reducing my metabolism if I don't consume enough? Can't thank you enough for all the information you have put out there Dr Mason! You have helped me immensely as I move toward a healthier life.
@old-barn2 жыл бұрын
I know you asked this 8 months ago, however I don't believe so (I am not a professional, so take with a pinch of salt < good advice also!) however, if you believe you may be affecting your metabolism, I think this would show up in a reduction of muscle. Body in starvation mode will cannibalise muscle. Although not entirely the most accurate method, the fancy body composition scales you can buy (must do fat/water/bone/muscle) will help DIRECTIONALLY and over time. You need to be consistent with your weigh-ins though, well hydrated, empty bowl, empty bladder is my recommendation. oh, and not day on day. once per week, then see directionally over 1-2 months or longer. All the best.

Good video! Someone needs to redo the food pyramid for people on a zero carb diet, as well as fix the RDA for vitamins and minerals, and the norm ranges on the blood test results- especially cholesterol! Someone also needs to do a nutritional comparison on the bug nutrients compared to beef! Beef has to be way more better, so this bug push for us to eat bugs needs to end!

Not a bad talk but fasting does not burn muscle mass! I fast all the time and the HGH really helps me as I lose fat and build bone and muscle. I am mostly Carnivore and high fat and high protéine. I always fast when sick 🤒 and before any surgeries of any sort. (Including cancer treatments) . Fasting forced or on purpose has been used for a millennia and not be discarded like a snot rag. Fasting is an important part of humanity!

Concerning parasitic infections (nematodes), freezing meat to negative 10°F or below will kill the nematode eggs, juveniles and adults, but not microbes. Cooking does that quite nicely. Most supermarket warehouse freezers are set to negative 20°F, so frozen food from the supermarket should be nematode free. I'm not sure if canned food is nematode free, but if there were worms in canned food, you'd think somebody would've notice that by now. Dried? Well I would say freeze your jerky, then thaw it out before you eat it, or freeze the meat and thaw it out before you make homemade jerky or biltong.

Just one question I did not find anywhere... Is it possible be on carnivore while bile relfux / gastritis (inflammation of stomach) ?? I think meat does require more HCL to be digested but when I have gastritis I can not tolerate more acid... so what to do ?? When I am eating "normal" like oats, fruits etc... it makes me event worse and I feel bloating , burping... Does anyone have same problem / or had same problem and actually carinovre helps you fix this sh*t ?!? If yes PLEASE tell me how you eat and how long does it take to fix your problems I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HEALTHY digestion, I think I have intolerances etc.. so elimination is great on carinovre but I dont know if my stomach will hande it thanks for any response
@Michal_Sobczyk3 жыл бұрын
I had stomach inflammation, I took OTC meds which consisted of some kind of liquid including things like zinc, honey etc. Also, eliminate all alcohol and have enough sleep every day. The most apparent symptom of my stomach inflammation was something like a taste or smell of blood in my mouth that came from my stomach. My doctor told me stomach inflammation is my least important and easiest to solve problem, not worth worrying about. More serious was GERD and Crohn's. Now I switched to carnivore 2 weeks ago and I don't have any stomach inflamation or Crohn symptoms, still sometimes minor GERD. The worst offenders that make me smell blood again are grains eg. pizza and chocolate cookies. Beef is like balm for my stomach but it must be either raw or only lightly cooked. Fat must not be in a liquid form, so either raw or in the form of frozen tallow. I also eat organs like liver and bone marrow. Beef heart is also cheaper and tastier alternative than steak. Fried pork brain is alright as it contains lots of omega3 like bone marrow. I generally follow the Paleolithic Ketogenic Diet and get somewhere around 84-87% of calories from fat. You should make a consultation with someone from Paleomedicina or from Shawn Baker, Paul Mason etc. Don't worry about gastro issuses. They're the easiest and fastest to fix on carnivore.

Depends on your goals and metabolism. A full fat only fast can be the answer for some. I used it a few days into a week long fast and it killed my appitite. I wouldn't do it now, because I got to my goal weight and bodyfat percentage. At the time it was great. A little buttered coffee, egg yolks and chunks of beef fat was all I needed the first few days, then finished with no food.
