In the video of Ken at 16 minutes or so, you can also hear wow and flutter from the original tape recording he is using. He has obviously digitized the original recording but those anomalies are of course transferred from the source. If you aren't familiar with tape recordings you have no idea what I am talking about. What it is, is a frequency modulation that occurs during recording or playback due to various reasons like the tape dragging while moving across the tape playback or recording head, or partial demagnetization of the magnetic tape itself. There are lots of other possible reasons for wow and flutter, It is defined as a warble sound. It doesn't naturally occur in digital recordings making it clear that not only is this not sung live, but the recording comes from a time before the digital era.

The Irony is, he's lip syncing, but he actually, technically speaking he isn't. He's miming. The reason I say that is, he clearly ISN'T Syncing, I mean he's not synchronising with the pre recorded vocal at all. He is basically miming, badly. 🤣😂. I called him out on it about 6 years ago, he flatly denied it. So I flatly know he's a Bullshℹ️t artist. He thinks everyone he's talking to, doesn't know the difference between live and miming to a pre recorded track. He removed that comment and shortly after changed he started posting a link to Fils x factor video saying "the proof is in the singing" so basically insulting Fil since that performance wasn't great. Fil even brings up in his 3rd video that it became personal which was reference to those comments by Ken.

Here is my take on this: coaches for athletes do not pretend they can perform at their trainees' level. But they know how to get them to peak performance. Even a vocal coach would be OK if he could not quite hit all the notes, but as long as he is honest about it and can coach a singer how to do it, there would be no scandal. Cover-up and subsequent denial will definitely make everything take a nosedive.

The guy is probably unable to come to terms with the loss of his once exemplary vocal abilities. This loss is a function of the ageing of vocal folds, reduction in lung capacity, degradation of hearing bandwidth combined with cognitive decline. He is in denial about his lack of potency as a vocal coach. The thing that amazes me is that his band members who until now have been unwilling to throw him under the bus. I suppose their testament is most important to corroborate our doubts, but also to stop the BS from this guy.

Timeline-wise, Marc Ajax and Bobby Sisk said that they “lit the fuse (got Fil involved), but a few people noticed the lip syncing years ago. Their videos didn’t get traction. David DiMuzio uploaded his in 2015, and got a copyright violation from KTVA (an unfair, illegal one, along with a letter from a fake lawyer). I do wonder why KZbin keeps suggesting that I watch videos I’ve already watched and commented on. They just did it again. Maybe, if I ask Santa, Tamplin will go away forever. ;)

well done. so,, something that makes it easy to tell if someone is lip syncing is looking at a person's tongue. When you are singing it's not natural that you can see a person's tongue (this is the case for many famous singers that do this, not only this balloon) but yeah, look for the tongue sticking out and chances are VERY high it's been altered. (WOP talked about this in an older video about someone else.. can't recall who it was but I was like.. yeah this guy not only does this but his tongue is just gross)

I've been fascinated by him because he's everything I dislike in rock, he's a complete bell end. I always suspected him of faking and was very suspicious about his guitar playing, despite him stating that he was a 'very accomplished guitar player' like Steve Lukather..... lol. How on earth can he slag off greats that have transformed music, like Bowie and Mercury? The Shout gigs are laughable, all backing vocals are mimed and half of his own vocals are mimed. As someone who toured, I can't think of anything worse than miming to a backing track - it's the honest relationship between the musician and the audience that counts. Some of his 'students' on the vids are great though, Gabriela Gunčíková is superb and completely shows him up.
