Re: dating based on looks... One thing that comes to mind as something not so shallow but something to own up to (like Jordan said) is if a physical attribute is important to you for social comfort/safety/etc reasons. Ie: Someone who is 5' tall and only wants to date people under 5'5" because a large height difference makes them uncomfortable (maybe it makes them feel like a child?). . Or someone who is bigger/ plus sized only wanting to date other plus sized people because they are very self conscious and can't get out of their own head when intimate with a thinner person. I think those things are much less"aesthetic focused" and more"vibe focused" even though theyre physical things someone can't change (at least not easily). Because they change the vibe you're able to give someone else.
