90% of what kendall covers I've never even heard about. How are people supposed to raise awareness of these cases, when they are being so wrongly policed? It's really just sad. Its these true crime youtubers who bring awareness, and when you silence them you are just silencing the victim and their loved ones.

To my understanding her boyfriend and friends have been questioned. I've been following this case since it happened and for awhile I thought that too but the boyfriend actually commented on a facebook page we are in for Karlie and confirmed it. I do think ALOT of information is missing like exactly what happened that night with her and the friends. Also if you listen to Melissa At first she said her and karly went to sleep and the boys went to sleep then she says when her and karly woke back up because karly couldn't sleep or whatever they joined the boys back in the living room but the boys were already supposed to be asleep in bed from what she had said there's just a lot of holes in this story she also gave a report that when she woke up in the morning before she even looked for karly or anything she took her two boys to her brother's house then she came back and started looking for karly there's a lot of red flags with Melissa

Watch them wholesome memes kid Abby Griffin that’s a popular misconception. If you go to the hospital for an OD or bad reaction to an illegal drug you won’t get arrested for doing the drugs. Similarly, if someone calls 911 bc they’re witnessing an OD, they caller won’t be charged even if they’re doing the same illegal drugs (I believe they’re called bystander laws). Like they^ said, hospitals don’t want to discourage people from getting medical attention.

What if something happened? On the other hand if we believe Melissa's story to be true, I think Karlie really trusted her, when she wanted her to sleep in the same bed and didn't leave her side. Ariane Alassaf yeah my mum is exactly the same, so it seemed a bit weird that she didn’t take her to the ER to check. Tbf if she was on something, that made her increasingly paranoid anything could’ve made her leave. When I’m drunk and in bed paranoid I usually sleep with my mum to feel safe? Maybe she didn’t feel safe? Or she thought she saw something and felt like she had to leave? I mean there could’ve been numerous things that have happened to her, or even the stepmum could’ve lied about the whole thing. There isn’t a lot on the case tbf.

That’s what I was thinking. If my child came home tripping, I’d take them to the hospital straight away. Weed is one thing, but once they’re having hallucinations or anything like that, I’d be worried it could kill her. I’d rush her to the ER for sure, not just for her but also Incase something happened to another child as well. I also would’ve been worried maybe she was sexually assaulted or something. Even if the drugs made her paranoid, she could’ve been taken advantage of due to being high while not being able to properly explain what happened, resulting in increased paranoia.

I think she was on spice! My friend smoked “weed” in high school that was bought from some unknown person and i was with her when it got really dark, really fast. She stayed up all night and going in and out of recognizing me and others then thinking we were strangers. She kept trying to go outside with no clothes on, and thought that there were babies screaming in the woods. (Suburban neighborhood with a few trees, no woods.) It was truly a bad trip. It was like babysitting someone having a very dark schizophrenic episode. Most spice is similar to bath salts and have similar highs to methamphetamine. This is so sad :(

The story by stepmom gave me creeps: says Karlie wanted to call 911 & that's a drastic request from a teen. She knew she was in bad shape. Later she's 'gone', no call yet to LE, but stepmom says she & the Dad (who'd been drinking all night) drive around in remote areas "looking for her". Then still, before calling LE (I believe) stepmom is 'blasting' all over social media asking for help??? My first intuition is that Karlie died during the night or early morning and the dad & stepmom disposed of her body so as to not be held responsible for negligent death of young girl. It doesn't sound like Karlie had the wherewithal to venture outside (without being seen?) towards Hwy. 6 where lost kids are picked up. If and when her body is found out in the wild there's no way to prove how she got there since stepmom has already told and stuck to her story. Bad judgment on the parents' part (not the mom), the poor girl needed medical help for an O.D.

If you've ever personally tripped out on drugs, you know the difference between giving the drugs a few hours to get out of your system vs you need medical help. We can say, "You should've done this or that." But we're all individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, so we all react differently to situations. Yeah, I'm sure looking back now they wish they would've done differently, but I won't fault them for trying to take care of this at home without a $5500 hospital bill. Yeah... that's how much an ER visit cost, IF you don't stay overnight. If you end up staying overnight, that's another $3000 to $5000 per additional day.

There are definitely places and hospitals/healthcare facilities that would mandate a report on a minor being on drugs in some cases. Not to mention that the hospital can literally not do anything for someone who is high on weed. Marijuana can 100% cause paranoia and strange behaviour in some people and the parents had no reason to think it anything but that. If she were struggling to breath or having a medical crisis I could see why people would be harsh on the parents for not taking her in but that doesn't sound like the case here. Hospital might have given her fluids and a bed to sleep in. I don't blame these parents for trying to let her ride it out at home thinking she was safe.

wokring at the hospital i can tell you noone has the time to supervise a child on drugs either. she wouldve just bolted from there if thats what happened. maybe it wouldve even gotten worse. the hospital cant do more than take blood and deterime what drugs are being given and supervise vital functions. which is also what you can do at home for your teen where they feel save. imo putting your child with a bad trip and no signs of vital dysfunction in a hospital is just refusing to take responsbility for yourself. "puh just put it on the hospital!"... no. take care of your loved ones yourself. make sure they are fine. in the hospital they dont have the time and sadly sometimes they also dont care. avoiding responsbility with the tiniest of medical issues is NOT the way to go.

She described her in ways like cute and stuff because you know, sometimes it's hard to describe someone when you're kinda panicked. Being cute is part of people's personalities. You can ACT cute. I don't think she was hiding anything. You would fall asleep at 5 in the morning and not realize that Karlie left her bed. Things I've learned from my best friend who knew Karlie: -The police and FBI never actually searched the house -There is a barrel that moves around the Chalfant and smells real bad that only showed up after she disappeared -Melissa is just as fake in person as she seems in the videos -Bishop cops didn't really do anything

I don’t believe Melissa had anything to do with this. Trying to recall details while your worst nightmare plays out can be difficult. I think it was different times with the latter post is because she was more clear minded

It pains me to see stories like this because I know it’s just lack of care on investigation. People don’t just go missing, we act like America doesn’t track our every move.

Agreed. like there’s NO reason why no one was questioned like someone has to remember what the hell happened that night. and why the HELL did Melissa not being Karlie to the ER where she should have been? i have so many questions

I’ve followed this case since the beginning, and I’m not sure if they’ve done this yet, but they really should take a cadaver dog through that house. I think she got in trouble for being intoxicated (on what I think was spice), things got out of hand, and either Zack or Melissa accidentally hurt her. They freaked out and hid her body in the desert. I’m sorry, Melissa’s version of events has changed too many times. If my daughter went missing, the timeline of what happened would be engrained in my memory and would be unwavering.

Amy Smith Cops have to find a GOOOOOD reason to get a warrant. Reason is, is because its high profile... unless. You secretly go to their home and around their home, use the dog.

@@nothanksbro420 I would think that they could just ask permission. If they have nothing to hide, they would have no reason to say no. Clearing themselves of any suspicion would be the natural first step towards solving the case.

i got full body chills listening to karlie's mom talk about her and it's so heartbreaking. i hope that whatever happened to her, wherever she may be, i hope that she is found safe. she was such a young girl with her whole life still ahead of her. my thoughts go out to karlie's family, espeically her mom. praying she's brought home soon.
