If you watch his new tour, there’s so much symbolism to MJ. He’s wearing a variation of this same suit, a bit more ordained, a silver lone sparkling glove, tap style shoes. It’s incredible. I believe the direct correlation is the generational trauma that he’s expressing in his new album, how they tie together and the importance of addressing it(which the Jackson’s were always extremely messy in this regard.) Atlanta the show even touched on it, in one of the next TV episodes (Teddy Perkins) likely ever produced. Fascinating stuff.

This performance always leaves me speechless. I’ve watched it more than 50x since aired, and every time, I have never not like not one thing about it besides wishing it was longer! Yes, I am back watching it as this beef has sparked and continues to remind me that Kendrick Lamar is an amazing artist. His talents will carry over into many avenues, which we’ve witnessed over the years. I hope he doesn’t change in his way of delivering messages and storytelling as a rapper. I’ll take his Martin Luther-Malcolm X- West Coast music any day of the week.
