I'm a white gen x dude - and what Kendrick is doing reminds me a lot of what Kurt Cobain (an artist Kdot has name-checked) did to hair metal by releasing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - there's a before & after line - and Kendrick is calling for a huge change in music - hair metal was self-indulgent, misogynistic- and rap has gone down the same path & dot is here to sweep it up. I've seen folks that didn't like the latest track because "the beat don't go hard" - they just don't get it - it's not about constant fun party beats, sometimes a smooth samba backing track just draws attention to what dot is SAYING.

This is a lashing of the current culture.. drake is simply a proxy for the machine that poisoned the culture. Kendrick is sick of ALL of the goofy shit.

All these simple minded people think this is a Drake diss. It’s diss to the industry and how messed up the culture is.

Destruction is the easy part. Remember that. The work that’s coming is gonna get real difficult for Kendrick. I think he can do it.

Don’t call Drake‘s listeners idiots, because there are a lot of people that like Drake‘s music intelligent people. I would call them lyrically challenged, lyrically deprived, lyrically deaf maybe, but idiots is harsh and I don’t like Drake or his music.

Anyone still actively listening to Drake is spiritually an idiot. 🤷🏾♂️

I don't think the term applies to just any fan of the mans music. It's more reserved for the fanatics going crazy defending him on everything, and denying the reality right in front of them.

I appreciate the heart ❤️ it’s not the people that explicitly will some kind of mass media into existence. Always punch up. We all deserve better tbh

First of all doesn't matter what color YOU THINK YOU ARE. Yes explore your heritage but as long as we continue to use countries as adjectives it will continue to feed racism. One race where none when's. Doesn't matter what"color" you are ...WE are American. I love my heritage, Spanish, African, Norwegian... Love to explore it. Talk to Scarface about it. Music is meant to Unite us. Even tho you're intentions are not to spread gate because your so use to Hispanic american, African-American... It still is a form of segregation. When we are ALL simply Americans. Be proud of your heritage. Be happy to be children of God. This is directed towards the people in the comments. Read this with your 3rd eye open.. And you feel where I'm coming from.

Nah man try to listen dont just hear. If Drake is the epitome of the industry then yeah it kind of applies to him but its more than that. Its not a direct shot.

Propaganda is being pushed on all levels of the music industry.
