The elbow joint is one important joint in our body that is found where the humerus, ulna and radius bones meet. Test your knowledge on the joints of the Human body: khub.me/4n3la
Oh, are you struggling with learning anatomy? We got the ★ Ultimate Anatomy Study Guide ★ to help you kick some gluteus maximus in any topic. Completely free. Download yours today: khub.me/v8uyl
The elbow joint is happening between three bones. The first one is a large bone that defines the upper arm known as the humerus. Laterally in this joint you find another bone called the radius. And the third bone is a bone located medially on the forearm, the ulna.
The elbow joint is a compound synovial joint. What do we mean by compound joint? Well, it means that the elbow joint is a large working structure that is made up of several smaller moving parts, or separate articulations. A synovial joint, otherwise known as a diarthrosis, is the most flexible type of joint, seeing as it achieves its range of movement at the point of contact between the articulating bones.
On this video, we will cover the following topics:
Bones of the elbow joint;
Elbow joint and its respective joints: humeroradial joint, humeroulnar joint and proximal radio-ulnar joint;
Joint capsule;
Synovial membrane;
Ligaments: Anular ligament of the radius, radial collateral ligament, ulnar collateral ligament.
Nerve supply: median nerve, radial nerve, ulnar nerve and musculocutaneous nerve.
Want to test your knowledge on the different joints of the Human body? Take this quiz: khub.me/4n3la
Read more on the anatomy and clinical aspects of the elbow joint on this complete article: khub.me/on4p7

Hi everyone! Our tutorial on the elbow is over, but there is still lots to learn on the anatomy of the upper limb. What other joints would you like us to cover on future videos? Stay with us and test your knowledge on the anatomy of the main joints by taking this quiz: khub.me/2dro3 After that, you can call yourself the joint master! :)

Well, it's been a while since I had anatomy back in college... but your channel is excellent to revisit! I will make sure to link to it for Biomed students needing anatomy! Cheers! PS: I won't take the quiz myself though, I want to keep my own name ;)
