Very helpful and concise instructions. I first just replaced the door only and thought it was sealing properly. That was a mistake. Replacing the spring and plunger were necessary, and I'm so grateful for Brian's instruction. As a tip, I didn't disconnect as many components as shown. I just duct tape them out of the way.

Thank you , thank you, thank you so much. I had noticed there was so much buildup of mold around the parts of the ice shoot. I followed your video and was able to take apart and clean the ice shoot, and put it back together... AWESOME...Yea!!!!

My ice dispenser is very similar, the door closes fine 85% of the time but sometimes it seems like the clear chute that you guides the ice, if it moves a little to the right it will stop the ice door from closing correctly and therefore I get a leak of warm air into the freezer ,the door itself has already been replaced so I’m thinking either my clear plastic chute has a plastic tab missing or when I replaced the door I didn’t get it 100% in the correct place? Thanks for any info.

@7:00 - Remove the old heater from the OEM door and install it on the new door. It's not that hard. Just take your time to not destroy the foam or the heater element. It will come out attached to a foam insert that should fit perfectly into the new door as they appear to use the same mold. I used a plastic body clip tool to scrape the foam back enough to reach the inside foam insert.

Help needed: I replaced this Ice Door Kit, and while it fixed my problem of ice/frost build-up, now I'm having trouble getting the Ice Dispenser to actually release ice (cubed or crushed). The control panel is lit up as normal. The water dispenser works as normal. However the ice dispenser only releases ice if its pushed/depressed extremely hard (usually pushing high up on the dispenser). When pressing it in normally (with hand or cup) it isn't responsive. Any ideas how to solve?

Okay, so I guess I have a bigger problem than I thought... Can you tell me where I can get the entire back plate for the ice dispenser? The bracket that holds the right side of the ice door hinge is broken and gone. I bought it like this, grr..
