I got one this year, for my Bday. Used it to fry turkey on Thanksgiving my 1st time frying turkey. It was the star of the show!

I just got a Big Easy. Going to try my Brandy and Brown Sugar with it. Fingers crossed. Hopefully I won't burn or blow up the back yard.
@jasonstokley7274Ай бұрын
It says in the directions that came with the fryer not to use rubs that contain sugar. The sugar will burn.
@chipps1066Ай бұрын
Do not use sugar!!!!! Everglades seasoning,Tony Chacheros or poultry seasoning!
@KennasKitchenАй бұрын
According to others it says not to use sugars so id take it easy and do a couple small tests if you really want to try. Dont want to ruin the bird first round lol. Enjoy the Big Eazy, we love it :)

Great video! But I have spent the the past several years saying my infrared is NOT an Air Fryer. Seriously this was full of some great information!

tip: tie the wings and legs with string so it doesn't flop around, hook the turkey and hang it on a rod in the big easy, without using the cage, less clean up involved
@KennasKitchen3 жыл бұрын
I’ll definitely have to give this a try. Thanks:)

The manual says to separate the legs and wings so it cooks evenly…

Air fried my first Turkey for Thanksgiving, a 14 pounder, and it was FABULOUS! SO MUCH cleaner and safer than frying. ❤ I'm doing another one for Christmas, but we'll have 35 people for Christmas dinner and the turkey is 26.5 lbs. 😮 My oven has air fry, so space isn't a concern, but I wonder if it's too big? Any input is appreciated. Great video! Thanks
@KennasKitchen Жыл бұрын
Hmmmm. you could cook it for a bit at a lower temp then give it a good air crisping to finish it off. Since youre keeping it in the oven anyway.
@RainaCK_NOLA Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your insight. That's what I was thinking. My oven shuts off automatically when the bird hits desired temp. If I set the temp to 150 plugging into the thigh, when it shuts off I can switch to AirFry, set the temp to 165 to finish and crisp the skin. @@KennasKitchen 🙏

Air fryer???? Where is the air fryer????, Misleading 😢
@KennasKitchenАй бұрын
The Big Easy Turkey Fryer is an air fryer, since it only uses circulating heat and no oil. Its just a very specific type of air fryer, sorry the title is misleading!

You spent more time talking about your damn lettuce than how the turkey tastes.

I've done 2 turkeys and probably 20 chickens in my Big Easys and none of them have been dry, all moist as heck.

I’ve been cooking turkey in the big easy for about 8 years now and I’ve only had one turn out dry. I inject the turkey all over with melted butter with cajun seasoning mixed into it. Usually use 3-4 sticks of butter with a ~17 lb turkey. You also may be cooking it too long. I check the temp with 3 different thermometers and usually get 3 different temperatures. I will use the avg of the 3 and remove the turkey when it’s still about 5° too cool. It’ll keep cooking for a bit after you pull it out. If it’s cold out I will leave the mesh lid on the entire time. The one turkey I had that was dry I pulled it out when it was ~165°. After that I started pulling out early (that’s what she said setup not intended) and every bird has been really juicy.
