Now that's how to hold an audience in the palm of your hand with great stories with a message and a brilliant pay off comically. She's the greatest!!

The end of this made me cry. I used to watch Carol and her group of misfits every week with my mom. Seems like a million years ago now. Mom is gone. When I heard Carol sing the closing it brought those far gone times back. Thank you Carol. You were 1 in a couple hundred billion.

Such a great lady!! I waited on Carol and Glenna Goodacre, the artist who designed the womens Vietnam memorial and mother in law to Harry Connick jr. I was in college and working partime as a waiter when I waited on these two distinguished women. And what an honor it was. I can assure you Carol did not disappoint as you might imagine. I waited on a lot of famous people there but only two different parties were the best, Carol and Glenna, and Rob Reiner, Carl Reiner and his wife and Robs wife. They were both so much fun and had impeccable manners!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes, the first thing that came to my mind. Great that she got it, but what pile of village idiots run this prize that it took this long?? (Side note: even at this late age, Ms Burnett still has the sexiest legs ;-)

Watching the Carol Burnett Show was one of the great things we used to do as a family once a week. We used to laugh until we HURT. So many super funny times from that show (usually involving Tim Conway and/or Harvey Korman!). I hope Carol lives to be 100 at least.

Now the MT prize goes to people in their 40s ? The AFI is worse "Lifetime Achievement", and giving it to Martin Short?! Give me just five movies he starred in. Give me 3.

I am puzzled. If Ms Burnett felt that the then occupant of the White House, Barack Obama, needed to be voted out of office, I have to wonder how she feels about the current occupants of the White House. Sometimes it's better to leave the political humor to those who know what year it is. Maybe had it been 2003 instead of 2013, her punch line would have been more appropriate. But, what do I know.
