I actually have never heard this song before, but I was trying to find the perfect song in regards to my grandmother and grandfather’s hundredth birthdays and the family they created with six sons five daughter-in-laws, 1 son-in-law, 15 grandchildren, 10 in law, grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren! We are truly a blessed family, and this song is perfect to play a photo montage of my grandparents when they were younger, and my dad and his brothers when they were younger too, the brothers getting married and then flashing photos of the grandchildren when they were babies and finally ending it withthe grandchildren getting married and having their own babies to finish it off with one huge family picture of all of us! I love this song. I’ve been playing it on repeat❤

Lost my 98 year old grandfather about a week and a half ago. His decline came quickly, and he was taken before I knew it. Thankfully, about a month prior to his passing, we had the chance to talk for about two hours. He echoed the message of this video during our visit. He’d seen so many changes in this world. He was a proud WW2 veteran, and Purple Heart recipient. He was the strongest, most humble man I ever knew. A father of five, who worked two and three jobs when it was necessary. He finally retired for good at 83. But, what I respect most about my granddad was his relationship with Jesus. I know he’s in the presence of God, and seeing the face of Christ as I type this. The best man I ever knew, my hero, and my greatest example of a man: Wayne K. Yoder Feb. 8, 1926 - August 19, 2024 I miss you terribly, Grandpa, and I know I’ll see you again ❤

Just getting out of your 20s and this starts getting onto perspective more and more. Friends go their own ways, you don't hear from people you thought you would talk to forever, and friends pass away. Life changes, and it happens quicker than you would ever even be able to imagine. The advice in this song could not be any more true. DON'T BLINK. Enjoy every last moment with friends, young love, and family. I love this song! I am almost 76 years old, and this song really strums my heart strings. I lost my favorite grandpa in 1972, the second grandpa in 1974, my grandma in 1993. My mother-in-law died suddenly in 1989, my father-in-law in 1992. Then, in 1998 I lost my mom at the relatively young age of 71, my dad followed less than four short months later. I thought the losses couldn't get any worse, but then I lost the absolute love of my life, my husband of almost 41 years in 2004 at the ripe old age of 63. Then my two brothers, one at age 59 in 2013, the other in 2017. There have been other family that I loved dearly, too many to mention. Treasure each day as if it were your last, love your family and keep them close in your heart, tell them you love them. Whether your loved one passes away from a lengthy terminal illness or suddenly, you're never ready to lose them, to let them go. Truth is, we have absolutely no choice. But I know I will see my loved ones in Heaven. A friend of mine told me, when she had lost her mother, that we don't cry really for them, we cry for ourselves because we're going to miss the loved ones so much -- truer words were never spoken! I tell my son every day, multiple times each day, that I love him. Treasure the memories, for time is so fleeting. Most of all, cling to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in whom faith will carry you through anything.

We blinked, and now the video is 14 years old. It came out when I was in high school, and another blink later, I'm a family man watching my firstborn daughter go to school. Life is indeed too short; we need to embrace and treasure every moment whenever possible. We live to make memories, so let's make the best of them

Man this song hits me. I am 22 and about to start college, obviously not fresh out of high school, it feels like only yesterday I was six and saying 'i can't wait till I am 18 and can stop school and make my own rules.' Songs like this really make me reflect and man I wish I could flip that hour glass and start back over and appreciate the good times.

Same. I moved out when I turned 18. Got a place with the love of my life and have worked some pretty crappy jobs while I’m waiting to go to college in the fall. And I sure do miss the days of not having to pay for a single thing and didn’t have to worry about insurance and bills. But tbh these are the greatest days of my life

I have a beautiful wife and 3 kids. We got married fairly young, I remember saying this "I love my child but I wish they could hold this bottle by them self", or "I wish they could walk so I didn't have to carry them everywhere" or "I wish they could watch themselves so I didn't have to have a sitter" or "I wish they could drive so I didn't have to take them to ......" but now... its "I wish time would slow down!" I lost my mother a few months ago and that was a blow, my youngest is graduating high school. I look back and say "God can you make them little again so I can carry them and hold that bottle for them". Young married people take this message to heart, take each day and hold it as if it were your last. Love people and forgive simple as that. That way you have no regrets as you get older.

+Snipe Stud00 I thought my life was going to end up that way, was with my high school sweetheart for 5 years and engaged to be married but she turned 21 and wanted to party and ended up cheating so we broke it off completely and tried again later but 2-3 weeks after that we ended up breaking it off again, it's too bad because we have a beautiful baby girl together who'll be 5 in July. She has since married, had a son, and divorced by another man, her son absolutely loves me and when I go to pick him up sissy just smiles away, I think it reminds her of being a family again even though she was little when mama and I were together, toddlers can still remember. I still remember her big smile every time I'd come home from work (tearing up now), and I don't get to see that anymore as she is 3.5-5 hours away depending on Chicago traffic (she lives in Michigan)! And I've now been single for 3 years now and doesn't look like that's going to change any time soon unfortunately. So sad!

My God Adrian Hughes, I feel your pain. God Bless You. My husband of 26 years dropped dead at my feet of a massive heart attack, he just melted in front of me, Curtis reached up and tried to speak, then melted in front of me. I ran and grabbed the defibulator, not knowing he had hidden the battery as he didn't want to be resuscitated. I found the battery two weeks later, at first I was so mad, then I realized he didn't want to be a burden on me. He had suffered a massive 12 years prior and I had taken care of him every since. I would have stood guard over my lover for ever. I am so lost with out my lover. Lost at sea................forever............living with the images is killing me

jordan rice, enjoy your youth while it's here as I'll be 50 years old this year and find it hard to believe I've been around going on half a century. 18 years old seemed like only yesterday and it passed by in the blink of an eye.

I understand this song . I'm a grandma of 6. Time just flies. I think and remember when my 3 daughters were little. Now I'm watching my Grands grow up before my eyes. I'm grateful for my memories.

I was at future leader of America camp and I met a few veterans and some were from WW2 and Vietnam, and as I was talking to one that was in the Korean War he told me just make sure to always say please and thank you because you will earn respect, and to always tell your parents you love them and that hit me like a rock, that has really changed me as a person and I see the world different know, life is not about the money or the things you have its how you live you could be a millionaire and be the worst person or be homeless but be the best person.....thank you bill I really appreciate your serving the best country and changing me as a person :)

My Lil man will be 12 tomorrow and it's unbelievable how fast time flies in the blink of an eye!! This song right here explains my feelings and many others to a "T"!!! I had to share this tonight and reminisce on all the good times tht him and I have had. I pray for many more even tho I made some mistakes in my past I am not proud of and those mistakes tore me away from him but I have to be thankful for today and not be too hard on myself bc I am far from the person I once was. Thank u all for listening, thank u to my friends and family for supporting me and thank u Kenny Chesney for writing this AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL song!!!!

Nadine well done on raising your little man. 12 Wow! Everyone makes mistakes, important thing is to try and not repeat them while asking God or whatever power one believes in for courage to take the right step forward.

This song really came to me a night struggling really hard with addiction and my 13 year old breaking down to me. Really helped me reevaluate what’s really important and how many years I have wasted on myself sorrow. One day at a time but I don’t want to waste anymore of his youth.

I just turned 59. Last year of my 50's. It really did go by like a blink. My girls are 36 and 34, I've got 2 sweet grandsons. My mind still feels like I'm in my 30's but my body puts that in check pretty fast lol. Do those things you've always wanted to do. You're not getting any younger. I always wanted to learn to fly a plane. I've taken my first lesson. I'll go scuba diving someday in the next couple of years in Iceland, where the two continents meet. My mom has been gone for 19 years tonight, and she didn't get to do a lot of the things on her list, time is a thief. Just do the things.
