You couldn't be more wrong. He did it all the time, and on different songs. He has several live dvds: Alive, Grand Canyon (this one), Redwoods, and later ones. This man was not afraid to blow. Sadly, he no longer has this in him and is on his last tour. But I have seen him four times, three Solon and the last time with his former partner on their reunion tour Sittin' In Again. never disappointed in a live performance. He was a true master.

That's great you saw good concerts with him. Sadly I had the opposite experience. I love his music, but when I saw him in concert around 15 years ago, he had to be drunk or something. But he gave a terrible performance and could hardly get through the songs. He gave the impression that he didn't want to be there.

@@l-bird Reading on Wikipedia he got divorced in 2004 and it seemed to hit him hard - here is what it said: The couple had two children: Lukas, born in 1993 and Hana, born in 1997. After several years of marriage, they assembled material from the journals each kept, which included poems, songs and letters. They authored a 1997 book, The Unimaginable Life, about their relationship. Its purpose was to offer an alternative to typical relationships where spouses feel they cannot be completely honest. Later on, they faced possible bankruptcy. The couple divorced in 2004. Loggins said in 2009, "I got pretty blindsided by Julia's decision to leave. She's a very impulsive woman and she found herself going through a midlife crisis and she didn't know what to make of it and it changed her life

The sax player is the great Marc Russo who happens to be my favorite alto sax player! The first time i heard him i was blown away. I love this song and version so magical and beautiful. Kenny does have a great feeling for smooth melodies that immediately gets you hooked!

From Kenny's debut album from 1977, " Celebrate Me Home" this was the first album since his split from Messina. Considered a Christmas tune, due to the first line, Home for the Holidays. This album is a cross over from folk rock to a soft rock sound. The leisurely pace, lush strings, electric piano, beautiful charismatic vocals and a dash of sax 🎷🎷🎷 ( LORDY) make this a memorable tune. Written while Kenny was in New York missing his family.
