Exactly ! I'm still in my 20's inside but I'm 60. I rip it up on my guitars 4-5 days a week if I'm feeling ok enough. Judas Priest, Kiss, Aerosmith , Van Halen.... you get the picture. I look like some old decrepit guy, but before looked like a Geddy Lee/ Robert Plant mashup back around '78-84. If people told me my body betrays you and deterioration is rapid, but you stay yourself inside as when you were young It wouldn't have made any sense anyway . Same person, just with way more awareness and sense now. :)

Sat down beside an older lady who said" young man, you are so handsome, you should be in movies but you smoke to much ( he did smell like 100 cigarettes) and then another older lady remarked, "I was gorgeous too when I was young" and people started laughing. Just so you know the lady that made that remark was in her 60's and you could tell she really must have been really pretty when she was younger

Just think, realize this man Kenny Petrie if 64 years old in 2022, was born 1958, perhaps later in 1957: How old are Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Peter Frampton, Ozzie Ozbourne, David Gilmore, Roger Waters [despicable, disgusting, inhuman being], Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Ringo Star, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, Kieth Emerson, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Mark Knopfler, Charlie Daniels, Neil Giraldo [& Pat Benatar], Tom Scholz [& Boston Band]f, KISS [Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss] Queen [Freddie Mercury (passed), Brian May, Roger Taylor], Styx [Dennis DeYoung, Tommy Shaw, John Curulewski, etc.] Fleetwood Mac [Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, Jeremy Spencer, Bob Brunning, Christine McVie, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham], Kansas [Rich Williams, Phil Ehart, Billy Greer, Ronnie Platt, Tom Brislin, Joe Deninzon], Eagles [Don Henley, Glenn Frey (passed), Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner (passed), Don Felder, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit ], David Coverdale, Bryan Adams [and Simon Cowell (born 1959) (also David Walliams, Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Sharon Ozbourne, Piers Morgan, Wolfman Jack, etc.)] and all each, every, all of the members within each band from the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's ? You're never too old 😋. The young often forget that tho we seniors/elders have gray hair, if any, & wrinkles.....that the most important thing is we have even more wrinkles in our brains.....from many decades of use 😁. HUGS2U ❤

I don't think Fred Gold is referring to unique performers such as this, when he says "some of those younger players are pretty good!" Send this to the BBC and see that I get my royalties, will ya ? Surely we can find some of " them old British producers ?" This guy could easily pass for an inverted version of Inspector Morse on a Special Night Out , ha! He could have awakened him from one of his Mozart SLUMPS ? PRODUCERS ? Get busy with some computer magic and see what I'm a talkin' about. You got a really great PERSONA to work with here and the guitar ain't bad neither! (" Morse Goes Rogue ?") Ha.

Everyone is so patronizing. He's 64 and grew up in the hard rock era and everyone is treating him like he's 94 not 64. Treating people of any age like that is just annoying.

THIS GUY IS AMAZING - HE NOT ONLY STOLE THE SHOW - HE BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN - I BET EVERY LEGIT GUITAR SHREDDERS JAW DROPPED, WHEN THEY HEARD THIS GUY RIP OF CHORDS THAT WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL 🎼🎺🎷🎼🎷🎼🎷🎹🎼🎹🎼

Just amazing how relaxed and how clean his playing was. I would love to know how far he went on the show and would Love to hear his next "Audition" as he made it through this round. I was lucky enough to experience both the 70's and 80's Rock Scene growing up in the L.A. area and even being a small part of it when catering some Music Video's. Favorite Music Video I Catered. Poisons, Unskinny Bop. Longs hours, but great fun and the Band, (especially Brett Michaels) were friendly for the most part, keeping in mind they were working 16 hours days/Nights. For a more in-depth comment on that video, just look it up and I have the top comment currently. You get to read about some fun behind the scenes stuff that occurred while catering that shoot.

Good for him ! Be aware, there are hundreds of thousands... if not millions of 60-70 year old people that will drop your jaw with guitar, bass or drum playing. Who do you think made all that amazing rock, metal, blues ...etc. I'm surprised there haven't been more like this. :)

Your picture looks a bit like a young " Bonnie Raite" my dear ? I don't think Fred Gold is referring to unique performers such as this, when he says "some of those younger players are pretty good!" Send this to the BBC and see that I get my royalties, will ya ? Surely we can find some of " them old British producers ?" (Hollywood Diva, and "I Ain't no Middleman") Has some good guitar ops for Kenny!
