i was just gettin ready to comment thst i liked the way kenny stepped in front of marty & melted everybodys face off with his awesome prowess.. the perfect tele player, lil country, lil blues, mightve heard some jazz runs as well & his tone is off the hook.. i forgot marty was there, lol.. if you keep watching youll see the same bamd on the GOO, i think & the guit player roles are pretty much in reverse compared to this clip..

Marty went on the road at 14 as a mandolin picker. At 15, he was in Lester Flat’s band. Looong ago.

@@DanPurdy1 he joined Lester's band at 13. He stayed with Lester til he died then was introduced to Johnny Cash by a guitar luthier who was making a custom black guitar for Cash. Not long after Marty was called by a Cash band member to join them on tour. He became Johnny Cash's guitar player and for a while his son in law. Those are the only two jobs Marty has ever had. Flatt and Cash.
