So fine I can relate my DADDY played all three loved the Mandolin so much he had to learn and so he did. Self taught what talent! Proud to say Dad spilled over on my brother Jerry Pringle here on KZbin. He is a one man band 3 generations now. His Son Jerry plays to the 3 have their own style but I love Daddy's and my brother Jerry's. God given talent should never be wasted right!

I'm from Tennessee and the only other time I heard Okolona was when I bought the single "Ode to Billie Joe" back in the sixties and the flip side was "Okolona River Bottom Band". Bobbie Gentry is a gem and Kenny is another. Be Cool.

Kenny, Marty and band, Other contributors miss the point. Most bands have the lead guitar player as technically the best in the band, with the rhythm player inferior to the lead. This band different as both guitar players equal abilities. Therefore they can contribute more or less equally, but since they are of such high standard, the sounds are unique and authentic, catch their rockabilly. Don't forget Marty played mandolin for Lester Flatt. PS. bass and drummer equal match. Keep it up fellers. An Oz in UK.
