On this week's show, in continuing with using the repurposed lumber from an old rocking chair, I demonstrate how to make pen boxes. I hope you enjoy the show.

I do make pens from time to time. Usually purchase pen boxes mostly to save some time. But this gave me ideas in using contrasting materials in the construction. Great project to use up those scraps as well.

I use your sandpaper glued it a board a lot. So my favorite tick is if you need to reuse a measurement, I will pull out the tape and mark the board with a pencil and mark the tape measure. when you pull out the tape, the mark will remind you of the length . when you're threw with the measurement simply rub it off with your finger.

Can I use a band saw to cut the 45 degrees

The methods I demonstrate here on the show are just suggestions and they are not, by any means the only method. A band saw would work just fine. Hand saw with a mitre box. Scroll saw. Table saw. Coping saw. Any of these would work. You just want to be carful not to take too much material away when cutting the 45. I hope this helps Lawrence. Thanks for tuning in.
