Join Kenny of All Trades as he revisits a Minnesota campsite known for a Bigfoot sightings! Watch as he explores the area in his truck camper and shares his boondocking experience.
This week Toby and are taking you into the self-appointed home of Bigfoot, Remer Minnesota. Many reports of Bigfoot sighting have come from this area over the past 50 years. I have had a strange experience myself. It was about 3 years ago when I was standing in the middle of a clearing between two woods lines. I had two small rocks thrown at me from the woods. They did not hit me. But they landed in the grass in front of me. I have been told that birds will drop stones, but I've only experienced this once. I don't think this area has a creepy vibe; in fact, it's always been quit relaxing. The cool thing about this state forest compared to others I have spent time in is the folks an ATVs are always super considerate in these woods. Every time I met a group of ATVs on the trials, they give me plenty of room, they wave, and they don't rev their engines and spin out Infront of the campsite. I have been to other state forests where it's common for a group of ATVs to rip through the campsites like they own the place. I have even had people stop and throw their garbage in my fire ring while I was on a hike.
We will be back to check out the other campsites in this forest. The spot overlooking the low marsh area will be absolutely stunning this fall. I hope you enjoy this week's adventure. Toby and I will see you again next week.

Ben Draper Fire tower: The CCC and the Minnesota DNR built the Ben Draper Fire Tower in 1937 on land donated by Ben Draper, an early settler in the area. The 110' Aeromotor steel tower with a 7' x 7' metal cab was staffed regularly during fire season until 1990 and is now used on an emergency basis and also for a radio repeater. Great video and nice location!

By sheer happenstance, I ran into Kenny on Monday in front of the courthouse. He is genuinely honest, sincere and likeable!! Kenny, I want to reiterate, again, what you do is like therapy for so many people, myself included. Don't ever stop what you're doing or think that it is for naught. You are needed by so many of us that you can't even imagine!! So nice to meet you. I wish you well in all that you do. Again Kenny, thank you for being you and sharing your videos and experiences with us. Larry in LF.

Retired airforce vet, just love the calm, homey videos you put out. Wholesome, fun, kind and nothing else. Found your channel a few weeks ago, and have seen almost all of them. We've owned every style of RV except a truck camper. Really like your simple recipes, and of course the little gem Toby. What a lucky find. May you continue creating these wonderful videos, keep showing the simple and fun side. We truly relax and enjoy coming along on your journeys. Live streams would be welcome if you're up for it. God Bless

I had no idea the throwing rocks thing was a big foot " trope " until I had an experience in the BWCAW in early August. My paddle partner and I were in the middle of nowhere and hadn't seen another soul outside of our party for 2+ days. We were paddling along a cliff side and all of a sudden 10 feet off our port side we hear this giant " woosh!" of something falling into the water / being thrown into the water from above. It was way too big for a fish jump, sounded like a basketball sized rock falling into the lake. Googled it when I got home and sure enough , nothing but big foot stories about rocks being thrown - a few in the area we were at at the time ! Say hi to Toby .

Yeah folks, we are being misled and straight up lied to about the Forest People. I never used to believe but have been a firm believer for 2 yrs now. Turns out I have 5 friends in my small circle who have had encounters, 3 of them being visual sightings. I've never had one yet. Most encounters are auditory with different manifestations of noises/feelings/emotions and sometimes mindspeak or telepathy if you wanna call it that. This really is happening. Look into it.

It's not your videos that make you significant, it's you and what you have managed to do for all of us. I'm not the greatest with words Kenny, not sure how to put it. Maybe we all started watching your videos because of your adventures, but now it's because it's like you're part of our family. So you don't worry about that surgery, Lord knows you've got to take care of yourself. You want to do a live stream, okay that sounds great. But all we care about is that you take care of yourself and you get better. You're never going to stop being "significant" in our eyes Kenny, we don't do that the family. So you just take that worried away. This will give us time to do some binge-watching of your show, because a Tuesday is just not a Tuesday without Kenny. So take those worries out of your head, and we're glad to hear that you're going to get the situation fixed once and for all. Now God bless you and yours, and you have yourself a safe and wonderful week.

I’m wishing you the best recovery if you get that shoulder fixed! I’m in a similar situation, I’ve got two hips that are arthritic, stenosis of the lumbar spine and cervical issues as well. Some of my problems are caused by old injuries incurred while working in law enforcement and some are just wear and tear/old age setting in! I can’t hike anymore or ride motorcycles or even bikes, but I still get out and camp and enjoy the out doors with my three dogs as much as I can. I live in NM along the southern Rocky Mountains and they’re my sanity. Your video/ style and openness make me feel like you’re the brother I never had! A live stream while you’re recuperating sounds awesome! Thanks for this outing!!!

My husband had a total reverse shoulder replacement in 2019. Fast forward 22 months and 5 more surgeries, including 2 more replacements. 6 weeks of double antibiotics through a pic line. Nearly killed him. Please make sure you use anti-Acne wash PRIIR to the surgery, at least a week prior. That’s what caused the bone infection. He has full use of the shoulder now, even though he was told he would not! Praying for a great surgery and full recovery for you!

I didn't think we would see you this week. Making videos is probably much more fun than chores, especially with nice weather. We see you're cross-training Toby for all the administrative positions, he's a smart doggy. As a person who has had 10 spinal surgeries over the last 30 years, and 4 within the last 2 years. I always say surgery if nothing else works. Sounds like you might have reached that stage. Hope for the best for you, and remember physical therapy is so important after the surgery to get you back to making videos for us.Thanks for the entertainment.

You and Toby were missed. Thank you for sharing your weekend with us. It is absolutely beautiful this time of year... still warm, cooler nights, and crisper air. I live in the middle of a mature red pine forest near Huntersville, and I can almost feel and smell the air of your videos. I have noticed here where I am and, in your videos, how loud the creature noises get towards sundown. If you can wait, I think January is a good idea in regard to the deductible thing; however, if not doing it right now is going to cause a lot of pain, etc..., then I would do it now. Either way, Toby will be with you. Toby is such a sweetheart.

Glad you’re getting some necessary chores done, but also really glad to have you and Toby back! You may not be as restricted as you think after your shoulder surgery, they may want to out and doing things, just gently. If you and Mandy are willing, I’d love to see bits of historical MN that don’t require camping, but maybe are enhanced with drone work. Or a montage of outtakes(if you have extra footage floating around), or even how you set up and plan your shots. Or, you take all the quiet time you need to heal properly, and we’ll be sending healing vibes and looking forward to your return to the woods when you can do it safely. You won’t be forgotten, never fear! Your work IS appreciated for sure!

Kenny, you have to get The big foots what they love. The little convenience store packs of powdered donuts. You are an honest man and with your temperament you could have contact. No cameras, no phones and no weapons. Go sit out side your camp in a lonely spot and mentally talk to them Honestly and calmly like you do to us. and leave some little treats. Don't over do it. 2 nights the first time and maybe 3 the next. Always be calm explain what and how you are doing things and see what happens. Glad you are back. We leave in the morning for Payette national forest in Idaho. Camping cooking and fishing. When the wife gets back in a little while we're gonna watch a Kenny video. Kenny, They ARE out there.

I’ve been recovering from a fall off shed roof that left my clavicle in two pieces going on for three years now, the surgery was the least of my worries, having pain and no feeling I’ve adjusted to, it’s better then what could’ve happened, after hitting the ground I blacked out for a few seconds then came too not breathing very well, it was like getting punched in the gut and having the wind knocked out, I managed to get to the house and use a old belt to sling up my are a drive to the hospital, the rest is history, I’m sure a big guy like you can handle a few weeks off and be right back at it. Best of luck and don’t worry your channel will be fine.

I've been living out of a van since xmas of 23. I've learned to really appreciate a good view on KZbin. I usually stay places where I can camp for free. I've cleaned up garbage just like you have at times. I rarely start campfires or cook on one, but that will come with time. I'm still working on converting my van. I love a good free campsite and love to relax when I get a chance. I'm always moving, but I'm trying to slow that down. Love your videos. I've found that unless its a weekend, there are few people who camp after Labor Day.

I am typing this on 9/11.......we shall never forget! Kenny, fully agree that Fall is the best! My favorite memories are of Dad letting me skip school on my birthday (1st week of Oct) so he could take me squirrel hunting. Nothing compares to a cool Fall Day, wind gently making the leaves softly rattle in the trees, sitting at the base of a large oak tree, just spending time with Dad........priceless. Kenny, I hope your shoulder re-do gives you the relief and functionality you deserve. I had a total knee replacement done twenty years ago. I had soft bones caused by five thyroid tumors, so they did 4" titanium extensions in the tib. and fib. Best thing I ever did! The knee was rated for a twelve-fifteen-year lifespan, I'm on year twenty and still going great. I hope for you the same! I know Mandi will make you behave and follow Doctors orders :) Live feeds would be great, so we know how you are doing. Thanks as always for bringing us along.

Thanks Rick! Your story brings back good memories for me as well. My dad also took me squirrel hunting. Although, now that I think of it, he was just scouting for rifle opener in November. But it was a good reason for us to get in the woods and practice gun safety. Happy early birthday!

What a beautiful spot! I love it when the temps cool down. Here in Florida, when it get's below 85, we make chili. I live way down upon the Suwannee River and it's just beautiful. I'm glad you are getting your shoulder fixed. I'm sure it will go well and you'll be glad you did it. You can still make videos while you heal. We'll watch anything you put out. I do think that a live video would be great. You and Toby take care.

Great to have the dream team back in the truck camper. As someone relatively new to the channel I’ve been watching your back catalogue almost nightly. I didn’t realize that was helping your algorithms but rather, I just find your content so much more enjoyable than tv… glad we both win!!! As for your surgical break. First off, good luck! Second, what if in November and December you made some weekend videos two parters? You’ve done it in the past and that would essentially allow you to create content to keep in the bank. None of your subscribers will mind a video being posted in January that was filmed in mid December. Live streams would also be great and appreciated. Hope you have a great week Kenny!

I wish you all the best and quick healing. 13 years ago I had my shoulder replaced. I made it through my daughter’s wedding but 5 months later she told me I had to get the replacement done or I couldn’t hold my first grand baby. I had gotten to the point I couldn’t use my arm much so the threat worked. I need to tell you that it went so great. I had been in pain and I wasn’t anymore. Well worth the surgery even though I was nervous. You can be back on a computer in just a few days so I don’t think you need worry about that. Doing the pt exercises is pita but I did them using written instructions instead of going into a pt appt. You’ll do great!

Hello Kenny, I just saw on you tube an individual who attacks you and the money you get from your videos .... I find it very sad because you are a good person and want to make good videos. I watch your videos every Tuesday and I love it, especially since Toby came and steals the show! Really sorry that people do this to you. I hope you will continue your videos, because personally I never miss them. Paul,

How could someone possibly attack this guy? What exactly is there to attack? Please enlighten me

@@SasquatchNinja I saw this video randomly on KZbin, an individual was mainly denouncing the income that Kenny made by making a video per week. He did the calculations according to the terms of the number of viewers plus subscriptions and came out with some pretty high figures, as if he wanted to attack Kenny... I really like Kenny and what he does, I've been watching these videos since the beginning and I appreciate them all! Thanks to him now I have a truck camper, and do pretty much the same thing as him. And the money he can make is nobody's business. Personally it saddens me to see such a situation.

It's all good. We get paid by the number of views we get. Usually, it's around 8 dollars per thousand views. As the views go up, the shares go down. My weekly videos will make 200 bucks. Some will make 400 dollars. My biggest video has almost 800,000 views. I think I'm around 4 dollars per thousand views on that video, so a little over 3 grand. It's nice to get those numbers, but it doesn't happen often. I've never had a video with a million views. Most of my videos get 30 to 50k views. Between fuel, food, a new light, and a tripod, I spent 375 dollars to make this week's video. I usually spend 175 to 200 dollars a week. But there's always maintenance costs, equipment costs, and monthly subscription fees for editing software on top of that. Finally, after 3 years, the channel is breaking even. I still have to work a regular 9 to 5 job in order to make the videos. I spent every dollar in my savings and maxed out all my credit cards to keep the channel going this long. Like I said, I'm just now breaking even. I'm down about 50 thousand right now. I've thought about taking on sponsors or doing review videos. That's is how 99% of all channels make their money. There's not much money in views alone. But wit the 5 review videos I made, people were calling me a sell-out and corporate shill. Eventually, something will have to change with the channel. I can't keep this crazy schedule forever, and I can't keep spending every cent I make on the channel.

I cannot stop watching your videos! Binge watching material. I like how calming your voice is. An annoying voice will have me clicking “next” in a heartbeat. Toby dog is wonderful! I love how much you love your camper. I like the camp cooking. I like how you leave the campsites cleaner than you found them. I was raised camping and taught the same way. I am loving these “Bigfoot” campsites. And I agree with you, I don’t know if I believe as I’ve never had an encounter (I’ve camped more than most anyone, AND I happen to live in Oregon 🤣). BUT, I ain’t willing to go so far as to say it’s impossible.

I wouldn't worry about those people who unsubscribed, probably just as best. I'm like you too, need to see to believe in Bigfoot. With that shoulder replacement issue, it's a hard one to accept, but as we age we all need to face facts that at some point, our joints are just going to give out. I had a traumatic knee injury a few months back and talk about a rude awakening! I'm thankful I didn't need a knee replacement or had any internal tissue tears, but it sure woke me up to the reality that I'm just not a spring chicken anymore. You will be fine, thank God for your girlfriend being there when you needed help! I also wouldn't worry about finances at this point, just put your health first. Without our health, what good are we to anyone? Prayers for healing for you and your family.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder…I know just how painful that is! But absolutely YES!! Live streams, Q&A…whatever you feel up to doing while you and Toby are off the road. And yes again about Pit Bulls needing extra warmth in cold weather. They are single coat dogs with very little fat to them! Pit Bulls in jammies and jackets are beyond adorable!😂

Hey Kenny, so good to see you and Toby tonight Glad you got some things done at home. Beautiful campsite. I do remember it wow those smash burgers look awesome and they are so quick and easy. I am definitely gonna make those and I have to get me an air fryer. so sorry about you I can’t imagine how you both felt when you went down into the water very scary It’s unfortunate. You have to have it done, but it’s better to get it done now and then it’s over with live stream will be fine with me. Keeping in touch would be fantastic. We definitely are going to miss you, but we have all your other videos to watch while you’re healing, but those live streams will be awesome in between remember you have to take care of yourself you come first. We all love you and appreciate everything you do and will be here waiting,😎I hope you have a wonderful week looking forward to next Tuesday Debbie from New Jersey 😎
