Emmett Hahn was the biggest name in racing in Tulsa from back in the 1960's and 1970's. You cannot measure how great his contribution was to racing. What a person. Thank you for reminding everyone of him. There would not be the Chili Bowl without him.

I watched some of the replays this morning. The Bell and Larson finish couldn't get more exciting. I saw a lot of fun and exciting racing this last week from Tulsa. I said a couple of days ago that i never used to pay much attention to any dirt racing (except i do route for Kenny and Shrader). But i will now!

Unfortunately there really weren’t too many laps that were Kyle v. Christopher… would’ve loved to see more laps of them racing each other. And remember, Christopher started 2nd, Kyle came from 14th. Kyle was damn near sideways on the wall, absolutely incredible!

did you miss the wing outlaw show? T.J. Smith gave Kyle Larson all he wanted! they started #1 & #2 drove hard, slide jobs, last lap side by side down the back strate, entered turn 3 together the finish was going to be epic! T.J. jumped the cushin! both drivers running on the ragged edge a 2" mistake cost T.J. but what show! one of the most underrated drivers in open wheel showed he could do! this is what the Shootout is all about.

In fact Gary's dad Tony bettenhausen senior is the first guy to take a Indy car at over $175 mi an hour at Monza in Italy they did a race for 2 years 1957 1958 called the race of two worlds Indy cars against formula 1 cars so then they build the Daytona track two drivers trying to go 180 at Daytona lost their lives in Indy cars which if I'm not mistaken or the first two fatalities NASCAR driver by the name of Marshall tiegs George amick who was rookie of the Year in Indy in 1958 hard to believe that it wasn't AJ foyt rookie of the year was George amick

That's been the old question whether drivers should be able to do that one of the people who was dead set against it back in the sixties and seventies with Rodger Penske he kept telling Gary bettenhausen stop driving them dirt cars you're my Indy driver I've got you a matador ride for NASCAR bettenhausen gets to Trenton New Jersey it says he's going to run his silver crown car wide open flies through the infield loses 80 percent motion in either his right arm or left arm I'm not sure and Penske fires them but for 20 years he drove with one arm came back his first dirt race in a silver crown car and wins the race and he reached the 500 about 6 or 7 more times tell Rodger Penske to tell you about the Gary and Larry show if you don't know you probably do cuz you're a dirt car guy may switch championship between 1969 and 1972 Penske loves to tell that story about the Gary and Larry show Gary bettenhausen and Larry Dixon known as lightning Larry
