I left in “87 when I was 10 years old my parents moved us out of there and we never went back it’s sad to see it this way. I remember going to the Ave every Saturday and all the stores were open playing music it was the good old days. I have been in NC since. I love my little town but it’s everywhere . Drugs are here in my little town too..

Captain, i used to have a house in EMERALD ST & ALLEGHENY AVE not to far from there, my Aunt (RIP) had a house in Clearfield St & Potter St,,, i was working at Susquehanna ave & Front ST.; STELIOS PIZZERIA, Corner where the ROCKY FILM #5 WERE FILM,, Good old days 1980 ,But i see everything changed now, OMG,, is another world, ,so sad,, Thanks for sharing this videos, i do enjoy thems,, im watchihng one by one, ,, i was raise in Philly since 1978,.. i lived also in Fishtown Trenton and fran,kford and work as a Postal worker Frankford and next to the hospital Berks,st i enjoy alot ,, of course i get sad,,

It's amazing how much those houses go for on Lehigh ave. 20 years ago you could grab one for 10-15 grand. I stopped coming over to get a cheesesteak at One Pound Cheesesteaks because of the public campsite across the street.

It's a shame the children who go to school have to look outside through bars all there time in school and hopefully don't get used to them bars if you get what I mean . It's sad to grow up like this always looking through bars all there life and then sometimes going through it as a adult in life as well. And on top of that looking at the poor homeless people Biden should do something about the homeless instead of worrying about putting other countries in hotels until they find them a house and be nice and comfortable while all theses people suffer. Remember kids stay in school and graduate cause you don't want to be like the unfortunate ones you see here living on the streets you seen all your life growing up it's such a shame Biden better work on the homeless instead working on the foreigners. Take him down there show him what really goes on when you hear homeless

most of these people are out here by choice because they are addicts, alcoholics/mentally ill. They need a doctor that's the first thing they need. The disease spectrum is high I'm sure. Then you got the prostitutes working the area. Perhaps tents would help/give them a covering at least. This is not Biden's fault. These folk were out here when trump was in office and he didn't do anything and nobody said anything about him doing nothing. This is the Mayor's responsibility not the President's. They need facilities for the mentally ill and addicts need to be in rehab, but if they don't want to go you can't force them. So, stop pointing fingers and seek for solutions. If you live in this city talk to the local officials about what you all as a city can come up with by working together.
