Gotta say you're comedy relief for me. Been many a year but been there done there. Have 4 of those, not bragging just fact. 2 have spark, 2 don't but have great compression. You may have triggered some primal urge to fix those.

Nice video. Very informative. I have two Eager Beavers 3.7. It recently lost compression while cutting( 3.5 feet,) hard wood. I think i burned out the rings. Do you have a vedio on the repair?. Ps are you in Oregon. I'm in Asotin Washington. Thanks.

I've done all that work twice on a mcculloch 610 before on a friend's saw when I went to pressure/vacuum check the crankcase after I was done it was leaking at the cylinder base near the pulse type oil pump and it wasn't "hard" but one of the most frustrating repairs cause as you know it requires basically rendering the saw to basically nothing haha

Awesome tear down Leon, I did the same to my 40 year old McCulloch 610, its the same, just full of sh@# ! took ages to clean and sealant on oil tank mated to crankcase, thank you Sir

Leon, Are we still friends? Sorry for the trouble this saw gave you. It certainly sounds great and I appreciate your help.

Bud I have a good question, why is this saw is so hard to start? I have a 610 and I had carb problems. So I tried finding another carb that would work but couldn't do it. So im just going to order a new old stock carb if I can find one!

These carbs haven't been manufactured in over 20 years, so finding a new one will be tough. You should be able to get a good rebuild kit from Walbro or Zama (depending on the model of your carb) that will fix it right up.

Old adage- there seems to never be enough time or money to do it right the first time but plenty of time and money to do it right the second time😀
