Sometimes, it seems that your truck and trailer spend a lot more time in the shop than they do on the road.

Sergei, sounds like all you learned is correct. Shimming hydraulic relief springs or installing stiffer springs is pretty standard. A new tire beside an older, worn tire will carry more weight due to being taller (i.e. more tread), so pairing new tires should be done whenever possible.

Good video. I hope kenworth can get all your stuff done in one day. I remember you said on another video you wanted them to look at your transmission and you were going to ask them about a mirror for your hood. I wonder if they can fix the exhaust cover on the passenger side that rattles? And thank you for the good quality videos. I really enjoy watching them in 1080p.

Concerning your hydraulics, the use of extreme low temperature fluid can cause a slight loss of efficiency in the pump due to its lighter viscosity. The fluid pressure in the relief valve can climb until it overcomes the spring pressure to control maximum pressure. The shim simulates a stronger spring by pre loading it. The holes in the valve just pass through the diverted fluid. Increasing pressure does not increase speed. That will be controlled by pump volume and if you can speed up the pump you will gain greater flow and speed. Maybe should have asked them to check your cylinders for leakage past the piston seal which could result in loss of lift force and speed.

In the US we can get a tax ID number and then purchase business expense items without paying the tax at that time. Nothing like that in the great white north?

Depends upon what state your in and how the tax is classified. In New Mexico, it's not a sales tax. The tax is a gross receipts tax and the only way you do not pay the tax at the time of purchase is if the item being purchased will be resold and the tax will be passed on to the end user. In the case of tires, wheels, etc. - you pay the tax at the time of purchase as the tires and wheels are not being resold. The cost is then deductible from your income tax as a business expense. The tax is included in the cost of the tires and wheels - but you only get to deduct the cost when you file your taxes. You can't make blanket statements as sales or gross receipts taxes are handled differently by each state.

I stand corrected. I have only done business in my home state of Ohio.

In Canada there are two forms of tax on retail sales. The federal tax rate is 5% and the Provincial (Ontario) tax rate is 8% for a combined rate of 13%. Each province or territory has varying rates of tax from 0% in Alberta, the Yukon and North West Territories to 10 % in the eastern provinces. The retail taxes you pay are accounted for in the form of a credit against any taxes that you charge your customer and have to remit. Larger businesses file monthly and smaller ones quarterly.

Sales TAX?? Whats That? I never pay SALES TAX. WE ALL THAT- TAX EXEMPT FOR LIFE. at the storeS in USA...... BUSINESS'S JUST DONT PAY IT!!!! THEN SEND OUT TO GOVERNMENT WHAT?? THE HELL WITH THEM. SO DONT GET TO EXITED ABOUT YOUR SELF BEING SMART.

Yes, Am thinking every time about you when Am not pay sales tax. I dont want to disappoint you, But I DO NOT!!!!. may be you do. Read the laws, me be just may be you be little smarter in your life.
@buckhorncortez6 жыл бұрын
Okay Mr. Smartguy. You'd pay gross receipts tax (a type of sales tax) in New Mexico unless you were going to resell the item purchased, at which point, you'd forward the tax you've collected on the sale to the NM Taxation and Revenue Department. You can't NOT pay the tax on an item purchased unless you have approval of the NM Taxation and Revenue for a type of business that will resell items purchased and you need Non-Taxable Transaction certificates issued by the department in order to do that. A trucking company would not be classified as a manufacturing entity and get a certificate to resell items and the ability to purchase certain items without paying tax. Sales tax (or in the case of NM - gross receipts tax) laws are NOT uniform from state-to-state. You can't make blanket statements and then claim you're the smart guy, because, apparenlty, you're too stupid to understand not all states are the same.
@JUSTME-nk9zw6 жыл бұрын
Who told you I live in NM? In my state (EASTERN US) WE ARE EXEMPT. Thats why I dont live out west. Get a life, and I need to ask the state what I can buy with tax and not to buy, Screw that.
