As an owner of a 2019 W-900L, I am biased. That being said, the W-990 looks like a Western Star and you can keep all of those automatic transmissions. The W-900 is the reason that I own a Kenworth. Please keep building a truckers truck.

Wasn’t too sure about the 990 but it’s growing on me. Saw one parked next to an W9L at a truck stop the other day and the both looked amazing in their own right. Not a driver but I’d happily drive any of them so long as it came with a Cummins.

I like the w900b. Nothing wrong with the w900l but the long hoods tend to get in the way at the trucks stops. I used to have a 379 Pete and my hood was hit because it sticks out more at parking spot at a truck stop and everyone knows who drives a truck that some spots are tight especially at a pilot/flying j. Now I have a older model w900b and I pull a 48ft spread Axle reefer and my truck is tucked away in a parking spot less worries about getting hit and I will not stretch my truck bad idea. I think shorter is better. My opinion.

It's the wheelbase. I have one of the shortest 60" sleeper long hood truck I've ever seen. It's about 4" shorter than my short hood 379.

The W900L looks the best, in my opinion. That said, the 2.1m cab is a dramatic improvement. My first experience driving it was a T680 day cab. After several months driving it, I got assigned to run 300 miles bobtail to pick up a trailer. I was honestly stunned. The truck drove better than my F350. I figure if I won the lottery, I'd convert a T680 into a crew cab pickup. I'd like to see Kenworth carry that cab to a lighter duty truck. It's just an incredible cab. My upcoming job is going to put me in a Peterbilt 579, which I'm pretty sure is also a 2.1m cab, but obviously a different layout. My choice remains a T680. I love the idea of a W990, but for money aerodynamics count. The one thing I'm most curious about is driving the 12 speed. I've always been very much against automatics. They've always been horrible. Then I drove several Freightliners with their 12 speeds. I was stunned. I actually LOVED the transmission. It was the ONLY thing I liked on the Freightliners, but it's awesome! I'm hoping the Paccar 12 speed is equal. (Better would be better, of course. But I'll settle for equal.)

Air cleaners on the W900's gives them there mean look. Where the air intakes gives the W990 its mean look. Air cleaners for classic trucks and air intakes for the modern truck. Best of both worlds! That's options for ya!

They are looking into the bolt pattern of the Peterbilt 389 & Kenworth's W990 matching up. However, I'm just looking for answer to my bumper dilemma. I have a W990 ordered for delivering in Sepetember. I ordered the cheapest bumper from the factory to change it out at delivery.

I went from a ‘16 w900 with all the options to a ‘25 w990 back in May and put 70k miles on it. New truck is WAY better on gas and looks great with the right mods. Better looking and more spacious interior and more efficient stock power (less drivetrain loss). W900 exterior will always look better and 18 speed is more fun and fulfilling but the w990 is an overall better vehicle. It’s like choosing between the new Camaro zL1 and the 69’ SS. Yea the 69’ looks better and is more of a trophy but the updated Camaro is better car in almost every way. Hard choice.

I always would prefer the W900 especially the studio sleeper than that Shitcong W990. Yes there’s advantages for the W990 shitcong that the W9 doesn’t have, as said the quote twelve speed I believe regular manual (please correct me if I’m wrong with the gearing of the W990) but I feel that there’s more on the w9 which is better than that one in the middle. In other words the W9 has a lot more capability than most trucks even the W990 yet the W9 in my opinion is gradually much better for me. I’ve always been a fan of the W900 but with the W990 it’s like??? even though its shit the technology is a little enhanced than the W9 but the W9 always be my dream truck especially the studio sleeper. Accessorie wise its more better on the W9 however I’m also concerned about the shitcong w990 and the accessories it’d be implemented and installed into yet the W990 here is like driving T680 with lesser grip. U know I’d prefer the classic mirrors and accessories, thus the W9 would be my first choice because it’s more than driving a monster truck that’s cool
