Great video for introducing the basics of Arnold lighting (I'm new to). But just a little advice, try to bring your mic further away from your mouth to lessen the sounds of lip-smacking and swallowing. This made the video a little uncomfortable listening to headphones. But other than that, great tutorial!

Is Arnold as good as Vray?

I used VRay for a long time. IMO Arnold is more realistic , and the PBR workflow is better calibrated. Arnold AOVs in MAX are not quite as good as VRay. Arnold is looks amazing with HDRI environment maps, which is why its the goto renderer for movies.
