Urban sketching, my favorite ones of your videos. Thank you. I like how your colors bleeding into each other looks, makes it more interesting.

You take us along to the most interesting places! These street scenes are beautiful and the history lesson is an added bonus. I have a penchant for these rounded and shuttered-terrace buildings. So stunning!

I love your videos where you simply just do a watercolor sketch. Don’t get me wrong, your tutorials are great, but I find your process so interesting

I can't get over the confidence you have when drawing. I could never do that without sketching the layout with pencil first... any advice on how to improve your confidence/get over the fear of drawing direct with ink?
@teohyc3 жыл бұрын
The more you draw the more confident you will get. A lot depends on your observation skills rather than actually drawing. You can always use pencil to mark big shapes and composition first. I do that for very complicated scenes. Here I’m rushing for time so I don’t use pencil

I'm still super scared going outside to urban sketch because of the pandemic. :( Love your videos, as usual!

It's best to stay indoors if your country is not controlling it well.
@marisawu36463 жыл бұрын
Yeah if your country is not doing okay, it’s better to stay indoors. My country(Italy) is still dealing with the pandemic...that’s why now I can only take pictures when I have to go outside and then I paint in my home. Otherwise, I paint while staying in the car🥰

Nice video. How much time do you plan for sketching such a complex scene? I always struggle with sketch walks and there for me short / hasty sketch time slots til meetup.
@teohyc3 жыл бұрын
Usually for double page on A5 sketchbook, it takes me around 1.5 to 2 hours. After you have more experience, you will know how much time you usually take to draw

Teoh, dear...please eat! You're looking too thin. You need food more than that new art supply you want to review! (Coming from someone who will eat PBJ's so she can buy D. Smith watercolors.) I know you take care of everyone else and do an outstanding job at supplying awesome content for YT and teach others there in your area. However, I am concerned that you are neglecting Teoh. Sincerely, Your Texas Mom
