I think everyone's biological system works differently. I wake up at 6 to hit the gym and be back home before 9 and I get most of my work for the day done before 12pm so I'd say my most productive hours are the morning. Then I spend my afternoons attending class and taking a 20 minutes nap in between and laze around afterward. Nighttime is the time I socialize (in this pandemic) with my online friends by playing games and I'll be sleeping before 12AM

what i know about getting up early is it works once or twice.... and then you start procrastinating, because you literally have a whole day ahead of you. but if you stay up late that means 1. you are putting effort just to stay up, 2. you know you have to get it done before you go to sleep. soooo overall staying up late is better than waking up early

I've always associated with waking up early with productivity because I grew up where you had to wake up at 5:30 am and be at school by 6:30/7:00 am. This was a really good take on productivity and it's relation to the time you wake up and go to sleep. You had me reevaluating my views and kind of lifted my spirits up since I usually get mad at myself for not being able to do as much as I would like during the day and sleeping very late.

Well I'm digital artist and to me it was really hard stay focus on my commissions and study during the day. I tried many times wake up at 6, 7 8 am and then I passed the whole morning doing nothing or not being "productive", which is really frustrating when you're overburden with commissions, tasks, etc. Then bc of my work I started to go to sleep after lunch, then wake up and start working during all the night- midnight and morning. I still have a little problems with my food times, but my brain works a lot better during night-midnight. I can do more things during that time than the afternoon.

I’m definitely gonna show this to my mom. I try to explain to her that I concentrate better at night. I’m going to nursing school next semester so I’m sure I’ll be a night shift nurse

i’m a high school dual enrollment student! when it was finals week for me, i had to stay up until 3-4 am to do a lot of work and essays. now i’ve pulled so many all nighters and late nights, i think my body got used to it or something🤣 it’s so hard for me to try and go to sleep anytime before 3am now :((

Exactly man, that's what I always tell people when they complain about my sleeping habits. I'm fine going to sleep late and waking up late as long as manage my 7-9 hours of sleep. Plus it works better for me cause no matter how well I sleep, I'm never fully awake early in the morning, so I'm not as productive as I could be at another time of the day

I think primarily why everyone finds they're more productive late at night is because there are fewer social triggers and distractions. If you are able to get regular 7-8 hours sleep, doesn't matter when your active. If you feel you need to be a night owl, be one, if you like early mornings all the more power to you. Find a rhythm that works for you to be content.

I can totally relate to this. I am so much more energetic and productive from at night 11pm to 2am-ish. But I've been trying to adapt to work more on daytime lately, as I seem to be keep breaking out if I stay up too late. Not sure if there is any direct relationship between sleeping early and breaking out though. But being unable to work at night time for my side hustle is pretty suck tbh.

When you're 16 to 22 years old, you actually experience a shift in your sleep. It could have been an evolutionary advantage in tribes, to help young humans hang with each other without their parents. So it's totally normal (though 3 AM is overkill) As you transition to adulthood, you'll find that your sleep schedule will come back to normal (whatever normal is). Take care of your help: :)

Yup, i too feel more productive in the night than in the morning or afternoon, to the point that i always have this kind of existential crisis where i ask myself "am i really ment to be like this or am i wrong at all? or should i just don't care as long as is beneficial for me?" 'cuz i know that probably it's not that good to sleep that late at night but the only real thing stoping me from having that kind of schedule or something like that it's school, because i have to get up early in the morning (no thaaat early but still), so i end up being or feeling more productive but tired because i didn't had enough sleep time so i'm just here like "well...... fuck it, as long as i don't have the need to change it then i don't care" lol.

I don't know why youtube recommended me this since I wake up at 6am and don’t understand how people can be productive at night when it's dark but I watched til the end and really liked the vibes you give so I subscribe
