When I was a little kid back in the 1960s we got a little dog but we couldn't agree on a name for him so we started reffering to him as "PERRITO" (little dog or puppy in Spanish) temporarilly until we agreed on a name for him. After a week or so he started responding to PERRITO so he ended up with that name. Also, a friend of mine's dad named his dog "COMO TÚ" ("Like you" in Spanish). When ppl asked what was the dog's name he would say COMO TÚ and some would get upset bc they didn't understand what he meant. Imagine this. Jimmy: what's the dog's name. The man: COMO TÚ. Jimmy: Like me, Jimmy? The man: No, COMO TÚ. Jimmy: Exactly, Jimmy like me. The man: No, his name is COMO TÚ. Not Jimmy but COMO TÚ. Most ppl would walk away confused thinking he was messing with them but he wasn’t. The dog's name was COMO TÚ.
