Also people who complain about the autotune thing, you would be surprised as to how many (basically all artists) use autotune. She used the autotune to make a more techno/robotic noise because its fun but a lot of the other artists use autotune to just make their voices sound better than what they actually sound like. Your very right. Pretty much every artist making records for major labels use some sort of vocal correction. And Kesha, you can tell does use it for the electronic sound in her music. There are in auto tuned versions of her songs lying around that sound super good.

using it "all the time" and using it for a specific sound are two very different things. Those who use it to make themselves sound much more like a singer will always be exposed compared to those who can sing without it, and use it sometimes in order to achieve a sound for the track.

Kesha is so underrated as both a singer and a songwriter. She's almost certainly broken her contract with Dr. Luke and will now be able to release better songs to radio that will prove her talent. That's something she wasn't able to do before because Luke was constantly forcing her to release variations on Tik Tok in the hope she'd get another mega-smash. She put up a long and hard fight to win creative freedom from him. It's such a shame he never let her release The Harold Song, Animal and Last Goodbye. She'd be so respected now if he did.

Prince was a musical prodigy ever since he was a kid. Even in his first album he insisted that he had full control over it and would not release it otherwise... Emma Ah Prince started off as a musical genius, he was a prodigy. He had a revolutionary new sound that people hadn't head before, he brought so much charisma and control to the table, he was a ground-breaking artist, that's the difference... (Ke$ha obviously knows this seeing as she's such a big fan). Ke$ha really isn't anything special... She has written lyrics to songs, okay great... That doesn't make her a great artist. Heck I could written the stuff that Ke$ha sings about. I've heard people say exactly what you're saying about so many other female pop artists over the years... She's just another one, she really isn't doing anything different or revolutionary, and she isn't exactly a worldwide phenomenon (which is what these kind of pop singers try to be, it's popular music after all). Maybe you guys are right and her better music is her 'under-the-radar' stuff, but an artist is remembered for their hits... I really don't think 'Timber' or 'Tik Tok' are going to go down in history as great songs of the 21st century, and I think deep down you fangirls/boys know this. Go watch a documentary called "Prince In The 1980's", it's on youtube, just type it in. Brilliant insight into a musical genius.

I never really got all the hate for Kesha or, rather, it all seems really predictable.
