In the pacifist route, if you don't save him, in the credits it will show him still being stuck to the pole, with machines trying to get him out. It's a funny touch.

This puzzle was such a pain in the ass, especially the step where you need to figure out that you have to trade to get your coffee back. Not to mention, it defies logical thinking. Why couldn't the coffee just cool down on its own after you take a certain number of steps in Snowdin, as an alternate solution? Or, why couldn't you take the Hot Coffee, and instead of pouring it directly onto his tongue, just press the side of the cup against his tongue and the pole and let the heat radiating off the cup thaw him free? I guess it's not Cat Hair Mustache levels of insane (few puzzles are), but it's still super unintuitive, and all for an armor that basically goes obsolete past El Bailador. Still love this game though.

It reminds me of good old point-and-click adventure games of my childhood, that's why I loved this puzzle. Those games were never about logical thinking - You just had to talk to every NPC in the area, carefully paying attention to their words, giving them what they ask or trading for seemingly useless items that you recall the other NPC mentioning.

Personally, I tried giving them hot cocoa first thing, then they said "A hot cup of coffee will warm be right up!" ... then I eventually get to the Honeydew resort and get coffee, I remember about the guy and go back to see him "Are you crazy, that will scorch my tongue!" (Something along those lines) ... I better not see them again or I will abandon my pacifist route.

I find it funny, because you just need to interact with most npcs before going to outpost, and you kinda understand what you need to do. I used scarf for most of playthrough except final boss Most mysterious case remains - how can I melt that snowflake?

my main problem with this sidequest was that I got fixated on Mo's hot pop, and trying to figure out a way to melt it. That, combined with the fact I had no clue you could shop at the honeydew resort because I tried once and it didn't work for some reason, led me to leave Snowdin thinking "surely, since I can't buy coffee, I'll have to come back later when I find a way to melt this thing or just find some coffee" only to end up locked out-

Fun fact, it's still possible to get the scarf genocide, for some reason if you spare dalv to abort genocide, you can do the quest, but if you kill enough monsters, you can get back on genocide route for some reason, and it makes the martlet battle way easier (first encounter, obviously)

Fun fact: If they go left you can interact with them while they're leaving, it will give you the same dialogue and options as if they were still stuck to the pole. I'm not sure if this will happen if they walk up, but I only ever saw them go left so I'm not sure.

I'm honestly glad people are playing Undertale Yellow, I remember seeing a video of the demo and i decided to tried and it was awesome, so I waited till release after 6 years, almost forgotting the game, it came out and oh boy, it delivered like very similiar to if Toby released Deltarune Chapter 2 but way more better. You can still get the scarf in the geno route under 1 condition. You must spare dalv, and it will give you the necessary npcs and won't break your genocide route because it fits the idea of being a cruel jerk

Fun fact: you can genocide the ruins and get the scarf as long as you didn’t kill all the Snowden monsters before you get the scarf ,so basically 1.genocide ruins 2.delay Snowden genocide 3.get scarf 4.continue genocide

Could you make a video showing what flowey says when you keep repeating the neutral routes? He has different dialogue at the end of every neutral route if you keep doing them, I've beaten it 4 times and I don't know how much new dialogue there is after, and literally nobody else has a video on it. Turns out there are actually 5 in total, but your fun level needs to be over 70 and you need to have beaten him 3 times already. (spoilers if you wanna get the dialogue yourself) he basically says how he feels like there is someone else besides him and clover watching (the player)

I tried so hard to figure out how to free him, I got to giving the coffee to the NPC but I didn't get further than that 😭😭 i was so annoyed that the golden coffee didn't free him... And apparently that was for another Easter egg I didnt find either...
