Ketchikan HALF MARATHON // Totem to Totem

The Ketchikan half marathon, otherwise known as the totem to totem half marathon is situated in, none other, than beautiful Ketchikan Alaska. This race gets its namesake from starting and finishing from one totem pole park to another. The first half of this race takes you through the famous downtown of Ketchikan Alaska, better known as the salmon capital of the world before giving way to more luxurious country views of float planes and residential neighborhoods. Keep your eyes open for float planes overhead and a possible whale siting in the Tongass Narrows. Another great race in the books!

Love views but I’d rather bike it than beat my joints into oblivion. When you’re hiking some of those trails I hope that you arm yourself ! You looked like easy prey for a cougar or bear. 😳 Alaska sure is beautiful.
