Keto at the Farmer's Market - Ice Cream

Today I had an awesome treat in the form of keto ice cream. You never know what will happen when you ask questions. Last week I had asked Deb from the Double Barrel Dessert Company if she ever thought about doing a keto ice cream. This week she handed me 2 sample to try. Mocha and Vanilla. Guys it was awesome. UPDATE: So everyone was wanting to know what base she used for her keto ice cream. She told me she used heavy whipping cream and half and half. Unfortunately, it is not translating into larger batches. She is still working on it (it got to hard and nearly broke her ice cream machine). I suggested using almond milk or coconut milk instead of the half and half. So I will keep you guys updated.

OMG she is in TX!!!! OK how close to Dallas is she?

She is located in Gun Barrel City. So about 60 miles or so from Dallas

What does she use to make the Ice Cream because Milk is not Keto, even organic Milk. (I heard her mention Whole Milk and Organic) It should be Heavy Cream and or coconut milk and I don't Understand why people keep saying Halo Top is Keto? Sorry don't mean to be questonable here but I don't trust it unless I make it myself lol

She mentioned organic milk because all her other ice creams are made from all organic milk.

I noticed she said she used Milk, did she mean cream? I heard her say Milk and cream. If she used milk too, :( it would still have a lot of sugar.

I really thought I answered this. She used mostly cream. No milk. She has a friend who is keto and has been advising her on what to use and not to use. LOL.
